Maybe Jerry Moyes leaked the heart attack news.

Seriously, though. This has been enough of an emotional rollercoaster. I want Dave King to talk to the media, himself, and assure everyone that he is perfectly fine. The Coyotes need to get him talking right now, if this is indeed false. Someone e-mail Dave Vest and tell him to get his ass on this. His latest blog was posted at like four a.m., so I doubt he'll have too much trouble getting to the bottom of this and filling the rest of us in.

EDIT: Screw it, I'm emailing him.

The chances of that happening while the court case is going on? Slim to none.

They had one public media session this summer.

It would take one phone call to David Vest, who is an employee of the team. Vest puts it on the website. Questions answered for all. No media session needed. It's not press conference worthy if it is a false report. No heart attack=no big deal. Call Vest, put it on the website, and done deal.

Still, from a PR standpoint, it might not be happening. Just sayin'.

If he's on the bench tonight, he probably didn't have a heart attack. If he's not on the bench, maybe he's just still feeling "no well". We won't know.

According to the Sportsnet article, they sent him home.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- New Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Dave King has been released from a Seattle-area hospital after undergoing a battery of tests.

Team spokesman Sergey Kocharov says that the 61-year-old King had not been feeling well before a pre-season game on Tuesday night in Everett, Wash. King was taken to the hospital, where he underwent several tests.

Kocharov says King was released and returned to Phoenix on Wednesday, and he is expected to rejoin the team for practice on Thursday. King, a former head coach with Calgary and Columbus, joined the Coyotes this week as an assistant to interim coach Ulf Samuelsson.

No need to panic. Dave King had asked to see Gretzky's coaching logs. This is just a common reaction.

What gets me is that the Everett or Tampa Bay media in attendance at the game last night didn't pick up on it.

Fine considering he had a heart attack or fine because he never had a ****ing heart attack? How can these reports be so non-specific? Did he have a god damned heart-attack, or not? How hard is that to report in plain English?

Just got re-confirmation that the report of a heart attack is 100% false. Gotta update the article now.

So that was a long coaching stint.

Is he going to be back or not?

Dave is fine

I am a family member. There was no heart attack, not even close, he felt faint and got checked out as a precaution. The real story is the irresponsible journalism by Sportsnet. He will be on the ice with the team today.

Thank god. That's a relief. I'm very glad that he's okay. Plus, in matter much less significant than his well being, we are all so excited to have him aboard.

Not the first time, not the last time either, unfortunately.

Glad to hear that he is well.
