09-10 Habs Projections Thread

Hi everyone!

I would like to start a funny thread with your projections for the season according to the actual stats. Projections that are of course impossible but "possible" at the moment. Examples:

-Price (2-0-0 after 2 games) will have a 82-0-0 season;
-41 of the 82 Gionta's goals this season will be winning ones;
-Andrei K. won't score a goal this season;
-Etc.

The former ones are really obvious, but I would like to see funny and weird projections (following the actual stats). Have fun!

Travis Moen will have at least 5 Gordie Howe hat tricks by the end of the season.

Cammalleri shakes of the myth that he is a sniper by scoring 0 goals but develops "gretzky like passing abilities" with 82 assists

-Laraque plays all 82 games;
-Habs will only score 12 times on PP, all on Mike Komisarek's penalties;
-Moen will score 41 shorthanded goals.

we win all games in ot, drawing comparisons to the '93 cup team. Annakin Slade subsequently re-releases ' Feels a little like '93'.

If this continues by the time the Habs make it back home for the opener Bob Gainey will have called up 21 players from the Bulldogs to fill up spots left open because of injuries.

Wow this thread rules ;

In 82 games (lets say he plays the next games) , Metro scores 41 goals on 41 shots.

BUT , the big surprise is former montreal canadiens grinder-turned playmaker! Steve Begin!!

The 31 year old finishes with 123 points ; ALL assists! in 82 games.

He'd share the record with Gionta, of course.

Gainey

Ok more projections:
-Weber will get called 41 times from Hamilton;
-The Habs won't have a captain this season;
-Travis Moen will finish the season with 492 PIM;
-Montreal, even with a perfect season, will finish 2nd in the Eastern conference and will face the team on the 7th spot: the Boston Bruins;
-Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo won't get selected for the Canadian Team for the Olympics and their teams will finish 15th in their conference with a 0-82-0 season;
-Meanwhile, new dynasties form in the Western conference, with Colorado beating the record for the biggest comeback year, finishing 1st followed by St-Louis and Phoenix.

I know I started the thread with Habs in mind, but the rest of the NHL has some good projections, too!
