the whole cast is funny. For me though Manny and Phil are the best, but everyone blends so well hahah.

On a semi-related note. A friend of mine who lives in L.A. was an extra in a few scenes from the last ep. She was a bartender in the scene where Julie Bowen and Minnie Driver are sitting at the bar and she was a patron in the cupcake shop sitting behind Manny, Mitchell and Gloria. She's a P.A. on the show so I guess they needed some extras. I'll see if she can give me the inside scoop on anything about the show.

I started watching it more regularly because the rest of my family is obsessed and I really like it now, to the point of downloading all the episodes I missed and watching those last night. I think once you get past what it's not (Arrested Development 2) it's a lot easier to enjoy. Phil is just one of the best characters in recent sitcom history...his earnestness is so genuine, everything he says is hilarious.

In the first few episodes I think it took the easy way out with a few of the jokes and characters but now it seems to be coming into its own.

Yea, they've moved away from being an Arrested Development clone in the last few episodes, which I'm happy to see.

Manny and Cam are my favorites.
Manny: "My biggest fear? dying alone"

Cam: "in college I used to play offensive line for the university of Wisconsin. SUPRISE" HAHAHA

Gloria is FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE.

So I was in L.A. last week for about 4 days. My friend who works as a P.A. (production assistant) on Modern Family gave me a tour of FOX studios and the lot where Modern Family is filmed. Yes, eventhough it's on ABC, it's filmed at FOX studios. She gave me a tour of the set and I took some unauthorized pictures of the fake houses they use for the different families. It was pretty cool. I saw Jesse Tyler Ferguson walking around the FOX lot. He's pretty tall and lanky and he was wearing a Red Sox cap. The rest of the cast was off on location. Apparently they were filming some scenes at a batting cage so look for that. The icing on the cake was that my friend photocopied me a script for one of the upcoming episodes called 'Benched' (She totally wasn't supposed to do that by the way). It's an ep about Manny and Luke playing on the school basketball team. That's all I'll give away, unless you guys want some spoilers. She gave me 2 copies though. The rough draft and then the shooting draft. Pretty interesting read.

Coincidentally, the day before I was eating lunch at an area called the Grove and I saw Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson doing some promo shoot at an Apple store. Julie Bowen is sooooo tiny in real life. She's super skinny and almost looks anorexic which weird because she looks completely fine on tv.... and I do mean fine. My friend the P.A. says that Sofia Vergara (Gloria) is a real pain on the set and throws hissy fits over the smallest things while bossing everyone around. She also says she wears a TON of makeup for the show. Anyway, just thought I'd share that stuff. If you guys want to know about that upcoming ep, lemme know and I'll put some of the stuff in spoil tags. Also I have pics of the set I could upload if anyone is interested.

Also if you have time you should watch Sofia Vergara's interviews on Chelsea lately, Kimmel and Ellen. She's hilarious on Chelsea and super hot.

Mostly caught up, it's gotten funnier for sure and it never hurts to see Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara. Phil's definitely the highlight of the show for me and Cam and Mitchell feed off each other well

Also loved seeing Chazz Palminteri in an episode

I had never heard of the show until this past Wednesday. It's pretty good with some funny moments, I will definitely try and catch this again next week.

Just some proof of me at the Modern Family set. Me and Barkley hanging out. They have him up on the 2nd floor of the office where the writers work.

This show is actually pretty good...actually caught me by surprise because I didn't expect much when I started watching the show about a month ago.

I have more of the FOX studio lot and the Modern Family set but I wasn't sure if should post them. I suppose if someone associated with the show saw them my friend could get in trouble although that's a very remote possibility.

Also interesting fact. The FOX plaza building which is located right behind the studio lot was the building used in Die Hard I where they called it Nakatomi Plaza I think. It was also shown as one of the buildings that was blown up at the end of Fight Club.

Haven't seen this in a while. The last one I saw was the one with the dog-waiter, which was hilarious. I always seem to forget about this show, but I do enjoy it.

Yes, I like it when I see it. When does it even come on? I never pay attention to when I catch it.

Phil's ex-girlfriend Denise comes to town. Claire is jealous at first but then thinks she's great.. And then when Claire leaves, Denise gives Phil her hotel key and says, "You can come by anytime." Phil looks at the camera, and it goes to commercials

Meanwhile, Alex is trying to convince Luke that this girl is his real mom and he's adopted.
Jay killed Manny's pet turtle and tried to cover it up. Gloria figured him out and is trying to get Jay to admit it to Manny.

Oh, and Mitch quit to spend more time with Lilly and Cam. Mitch almost instantly regrets the decision.
