I'm a huge Khabi booster, but he was simply terrible tonight.

Apparently Quinn believes the Oilers don't have a two way centre.

He may be right.

He said the team doesn't have a shut down centre.

There is a difference in a shut down centre and a 2 way centre.

It seems like Pisani is always injured these days. What a waste of 2.5 mil

And who's fault is that?

Tambellini wanted nothing of Betts and Malhotra.

Penner was by far the best player out there followed by JFJ then Brule and Comrie.

I liked Brule's game tonight, he had tons of hustle and energy.

. He was also very weak on the puck, the play ended with him on too many occasions. Horcoff looked ugly as all hell. Coughed the puck-up too often, along with having many of his passes intercepted

Worst player was Horcoff followed by Struds.

Hemsky didnt play bad, he just didnt play good.. basically a no show.

This is obviously a PS game along with new coaching staff so it will be expected for the first few games to look raw. The players need a few good games to get use to the new system. They have been stuck with the same system for 9 years and will take a few games for quinn to break their habits.
The thing that drove me (nuts) was that JFJ was clearing room for HemHork and they did not take advantage of it at all

Missed the game, sounds like a few guys did themselves some good. I like that they're playing Schremp down the middle next game, I however don't like his linemates. It could mean that they are auditioning him for a 4th line center/PP specialist role. At this rate I'd be fine with him being a pop corn vender for the Oil as long as he's part of the team and I don't have to go to the Leaf's board.

Its not really all that preposterous to NOT have a shutdown centre.

We don't really have a healthy shut down winger or a shut down defenceman either...so that falls in line with NOT having a shut down centre I would say.

When its all said & done we can still work towards being a 2 way team.

That's all that I ask is that he gets one last kick at the cat, what he does with it is all on him.

But on the bright side it may open the door for guys like Stone or a Eberle 9 game stint.

Cogs - Horc - Hemsky
Penner - Gagner - Eberle
POS - Comrie - Stone
JFJ - Brule - Stortini
Moreau?

I don't know that he was 'VERY' good...but he was decent and I think by winning a couple tough faceoffs he made the staff happy.

According to Quinn second best forward tonight.

I thought he played very well, a lot of hustle, determination and unlike many of the forwards they play wasn't dying with him.

Great. We started losing to borderline playoff teams like Isles and Flames.

I agree with that. I saw him wander on the PK a couple times though.
