I’m still hoping Grachev makes the team. He and the 10th forward gives the option to roll 4 lines. Just food for thought…

Higgins - Prospal- Gaborik
Avery -Dubinsky-Callahan
Grachev Anisimov- Lisin
Brashear -Drury-Kotalik

I'd like to have your problems. You guys in NA dont realize it, but we unlucky fans in the CEntral Europe have to stay awake till 1 am till the game starts, then, if we're lucky, we'll find some gamestream, usually of a quite poor quality, and then we watch the game till 3:30 in the morning. Sometimes I dont even go to bed, because if I have to get up at 6 o'clock, it's just not worth it.
I'd reallly like to have your problems...

Thx man, there's a bunch of us in the Czech Republic (around this website www.newyorkrangers.cz - not much use for you as it's only in czech...) and usually about 10 of us, sometimes less sometimes more (maybe even 20) watch the game during the night and write our comments on our forum.
My parents call me crazy (well, I guess I'm... a bit), but I just can't help...

I'm getting real tired of this line juggling.

Why isn't Torts keeping players together to... oh I don't know, BUILD CHEMISTRY???

He needs to see what works and evaluate all the options before that happens. This is Dubinsky's first preseason game and only Gaborik's second game. Torts is always juggling his lines anyway.

Also, Avery's injury is probably throwing a wrench in his plans as well. Grachev likely won't make the team so trying to build chemistry with his line is probably pointless unless he plays amazing tonight.

I'm all about building chemistry, by the way, and think it's a major factor in how our team will perform this year. But with Dubinsky's holdout and Gaborik's "soreness", there really wasn't much of an opportunity build chemistry until this week.

As much as I would love for Grachev to make the team, there is a 0% percent chance that Drury or Kotalik would ever be on the fourth line. I know you were just saying but sadly I really don't think there is room for him, especially since Torts usually only roles 3 lines in the regular season they'd rather have Grachev being a 1st line winger in HFD then not play/develop at all for the Rangers. The best chance we can have for Grachev to make the team would be something like this:

Prospal- Dubinsky- Gaborik
Higgins- Drury- Callahan
Grachev- Anisimov- Lisin
Avery- Boyle- Brashear

and I really don't see Avery on the fourth line so that pretty much negates all possibilites.

This period has been extremely sloppy by the Rangers. A lot of terrible turnovers, mis-connects on their passes. They just don't look very crisp to me.

Line doesn't look half as good as it does when Boyle is there. Anisimov shouldn't be buried on the 4th line with those 2.
