Igor Radulov!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah remember how giddy people got when he had his 1st taste of NHL action. 5 goals in 7 games.

Alot of people thought we had something there but it turns out we didn't
Suck it, BWC, our North American draft picks were just as bad back then.

Nope, As crappy as our picks were we had a better success rate with US/Canadians then Russians/Euro's!

maybe because you draft 10x more north americans than euros? It is not even a valid comparison.

Another goal last game for Kruger (the only goal of the game for DIF).

I was at the game. Your got a nice player there. You notice him in a good way when he is on the ice. Why have I not heard about him before?

Sarcasm?

Seriously... Magnus Johansson is 5'10 180 and was non-existant. Has no place on the Blackhawks even today. At 36 he right where he belongs IMO.

It's hard to tell on the internet, but I'm 99.9% sure he was being sarcastic.

Johansson is a star in Europe. But he's not NHL type of player. Even though in Florida he was decent.

Jassen Cullicrap looked decent in Florida.

Our rejects are/were Floridas roster players.

Been scrolling thru this thread just now.

One bit of circumstantial evidence that supports two points being made here: that he was on the Wings' radar and he has a future in Chicago.

I have it from a very good source he was a personal pick of Scotty Bowman.

Not next year or anytime soon. He's really small, physically immature. Saw him at PC and the skill in space was really obvious, but he is at least two years away.

While I don't see him over here right away, size don't matter as much as skill. Those same things were said about Kane when he was drafted. Not that Kruger is on Kane's level but skill is what really matters.

Do you think Bowman still has connections to the scouts in Detroit? Imagine if Bowman can lure some of them over here.

This. When will people learn that having good size does not automatically turn someone into a better player or career? I swear most hfboard posters would rather take someone mediocre in skill because of size than someone smaller but really skilled.

btw Kruger had another point today.

How's he looked recently?

I read somewhere that they broke up the Kruger and Josefson line.

After being split up, is he still as noticeable on the ice or being used differently?

Not sure if you have been able to watch any of his games, but if so, it'd be nice to hear how he looks aside from the stat sheet. Thanks!

He doesn't appear to be that small, maybe if he could put on another 10-15 in the summer, he'd be fine. He appears to have cooled off for now but he's still tied for leading in the points category at least.

I think the point is being misunderstood.. Jaeckel isn't saying that he is definitively too small for the NHL, he is saying that he is 19 years old and needs to mature physically. This has nothing to do with any debate about size vs skill - it has to do with development.

With Makarov, the 'Hawks have shown a willingness to let their prospects develop overseas in the right setting. I would guess that we will see the same thing with Kruger because he already has a large role in a top league.
