Need help finding a new helmet

i currently have a CCM V10, but the shell has cracked. I don't think I'll be buying another one because a few weeks ago i was slew footed and i had really bad headaches for days(FYI i did not have a concussion). So I need a new helmet and i would love some input.

Easton S17- Too exspensive and not very comfortable.

CCM V10- This is the one i currently have. It didn't fit too well and I would like to try A different helmet to see if i can find a better fit.

RBK 8K- Decent fit, but it is overpriced and it is very similar to the CCM helmet.

Mission- Nope. I don't like anything about it.

Bauer 9500- I have never worn one of these and i have not read alot of reviews. If you have any comments about this helmet in particular it would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind on this one.

Bauer 5500 and 4500 are the best looking and best priced helmets out there. 4500 isnt comfortable but the 5500 is.

Well i guess i have, but i just want any comments (good or bad) on any helmet. I would like to know if it is worth the money to buy a top of the line helmet or is it your experience that a cheaper one is often the superior one. I'm open to be persuaded into giving other helmets another look.

i have a jofa (390?) and cage - have had it quite a while and like the fit and feel of it.

some people may not like the look of it, but it's been good for me.

I own pretty much every top tier(9500, 8k, v10, v08, 5500, intake in epp and vn) and I still just always go back to the 4500. If it fits your head there really isn't a better choice.

^Jofa doesn't exist anymore. They're part of RBK. The only place you can get Jofa is in Europe, where THC runs the Jofa line as well as RBK.

As for what you should get, choose what fits, but price shouldn't be too much of a concern. All helmets are less then a top end OPS and much, much more important.

You could also try on a few other helmets. Bauer makes helmets with a variety of fits, and it's your head shape that determines the comfort of a helmet. a 9500 may be great and wonderfully comfortable for somebody else and fit your head horribly. That's actually a bad example since the 9500 is supposed to form to fit your head as you wear it, but that's the idea with helmets.
