Cammallari is an excellent appetizer. Unless you get a big portion, then you might have to split it or take it as your main meal. I recommend Lemon, but I'm sure it wont be hard to find among us habs fans.
I love it. Chase Saku out because the Habs' captain has to be a large French-speaker a la Beliveau, and give the C to a smaller guy who can't speak a word of French. And No, I am not making this about language. And Yes, I am making it about Saku. As I live and breath, I swear there will be a thread, or at the very least a post within a thread, about Saku until HFBoards or I are dead. Feel free to wish my death; I ain't superstitious like that, though it would be pretty mean.
J Martin said that his new captain will be named next week. On top of this he said that he expect all his regular players who are injured to be playing against the Leafs next week, with the exception of Chipper.
I haven't seen many pre-season games, mostly only highlights, but one has to wonder what is going through Halak's mind...
Unless Price is CLEARLY better than Halak in training and during workouts, how does he get the #1 job when Halak has done nothing short of dazzle during the pre-season (and outplay Price down the stretch last season.
I personally tend to believe that Price is the future of the team, so i've got no problem with the decision, but at the same time I could see a young guy like Halak who has done nothing but perform on demand getting fed up with constantly getting the second chair despite better performances (at least stat-wise).
wonder how long before halak is demanding a trade, or if it might have already been done?
even if he is being a good soldier and accepting his role, if any team suffers an early season injury to their starting goalie, I hope Gainey is in there dangling Halak... as long as it's not the rangers

Could be someone who barely speaks English...

Gomez has leadership skills, just his cap hit is too much to make the habs competitive in the future.
if he's got leadership skills, why the Vcash certainty that he won't be named captain?
Because of his contract and the fact that we can't be a competitive team with him on board for the rest of his contract and that he'll be needed to be moved, unless he can somehow catch fire here and put up a ppg pace.
Give it to the guy he speaks french, let him be the space goat. He was given a million chances to show he can play on the first 2 lines, give him the "C" too. I am serious.......
Im surprised to see so many people say Gomez, considering alot has been said regarding his supposed character flaws (I'm not PERSONALLY saying he has character flaws, but I do recall hearing it from Rags/Devils fans and certain media outlets). Personally I'm really stoked to have him here, and I have him as an Assistant.
I think Gionta is a fine choice, he is arguably the hardest worker on the team, and can put up good offensive numbers. Those are two pretty good things he has going for them, as he can back up his talk with work ethic AND results. He doesn't seem shy from the media, either.

While I find the price high, I look at Gomez on the ice and I see a center than play against any team's top line effectively and with the right wingers can beat them head to head in a playoff series. All the way to the Stanley Cup. Twice.
Took about one game watching him to realize how long it's been since we had a centre of his caliber. No disrespect to Saku, but he was never as explosive after that awful injury.
I do find it hilarious that we may well have let Saku go so we can have a smaller captain.
