what were the scores in the games vs the Habs in 2002 playoffs? Did Boston win or lose the first game?
I'm pretty sure Boston lost the first game, I remember because after the game I punched a door and my hand hurt for game 2.
EDIT - Here were the scores during the series
Game 1 - Montreal 5 Boston 2
Game 2 - Montreal 4 Boston 6
Game 3 - Montreal 5 Boston 3
Game 4 - Montreal 2 Boston 5
Game 5 - Montreal 2 Boston 1
Game 6 - Montreal 2 Boston 1
I think Stock did play in at least one game-didn't he score a goal?
Yeah your right, Stock actually played all 6 games in the series and scored the 1st goal in game 4. Goren didn't play for Boston during that series, that was against the Devils.
I guess it really comes down to Dafoe chocking...and us not being able to beat Theodore. One could argue that the team has had 2 years to gel and mature, lets hope they bring out the offense.
Another thing that worries me is that the Canadiens are a much better team then they were in 2002.

Look at that blueline though, Sean O'Donnell was our #1 d-man than. I think the D-unit now will make a big difference.
I remember Stock didn't play. I believe these were the lines, not sure if Lapointe and Zams are in the right spot.
I seem to remember McGinnis playing on the second line as well...
You're right...Stocker didn't play against the Devils and I remember him saying he was dissapointed, like anyone else who sits for a stretch of games in the playoffs would be.

Thats funny.........cuz it sounds like me........ I had to patch more holes in walls through the years when I lived with my parents (I don't know how they put up with me). But now that I'm all grown up (debatable...according to my wife) and have my own house, I don't do that sort of thing anymore.........I just run down to the basement, and beat the living snot out of my punching bag.
All of our current D pairings are better than what we had in 2002. The 2 and 4th lines are better than what we had then. Also, Raycroft will be better than Dafoe. However, it was Theodore who made the difference in stealing the last two games. Dafoe played pretty well in those.
Unfortunately, I'd say that the Habs are improved both in D and O, and the goalie is at his 2002 form right now.

Oh, we'll still dip their pretzels in poutine...
Yeah, I remember the Habs were rallying around their illustrious preztel before........we need something to rally around this year........any ideas?
