Baum rejects both NHL and Balsillie bids

Per TSN

Baum's statement:

This is it, Jim...now the NHL'll move the team to Oklahoma or Las Vegas at some point in the future

He actually spends all of his summers in Montreal... There are also quite a few other players who do the same (I can't remember who).

Fold the team. They're not viable in Phoenix, can't be moved to Hamilton and I doubt any move to another of Gary's U.S. sunbelt "hockey markets" would work either.
Thus, what else is there?

Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford, maybe a Maritime, or prairie team ?

If the Hornets wouldn't have moved there that would have been a good city to move an NHL team too.

Great hockey city! Long history and a strong fanbase

I believe they were the best city to not get a team last round of expansion. They came pretty close If I remember

Houston would be a great market for NHL team when NHL expands to 32 in future

I can't believe Matt Lashoff went unclaimed.

We're supposed to believe that not 1 single team has room for him? Even as a 6th/7th defenseman?

Hartford and Winnipeg deserve a NHL team. Hartford had a pretty good ambiance over there.

Having Hartford back will also make me remember every time we play them of the Lemieux goal against Mike Liut.

Why would the Hornets be a problem? They could probably share the arena with a hockey team, as it is the case in many other cities.

Can someone please tell me why TSN has Vancouver in the Cup Finals in their predictions?

Very good team, but better then DET, ANA, SJ, CHI, etc?

Or there's something wrong with his NHL play and the fact that most teams already have guys who would be just as good in the 6th/7th spot, or better.

They view Detroit as slipping. Anaheim's defense has taken a hit. San Jose always chokes. Chicago has Huet in nets.

I dont believe Oklahoma City is big enough to sustain both an NBA team and NHL team

10 New York Rangers (Brashear, Callahan, Staal, Higgins, Drury, Avery, Lundqvist, Dubinsky, Girardi, and Gaborik) just presented Letterman's top 10.

Lundqvists, Drurys were pretty funny, Higgins too and Sean too... I think the Streisand one made me laugh the most.
