I find it a bit ironic, personally.

With frugal owners and the economy, you never, ever want to see that be your team motto.

The analogy fits the Kessel situation. We went all-in, and were called by the bigger stack. And they showed down the better hand.

I think it is based on the punchline to a joke involving an elephant and a mouse but I believe I would be removed from hf for sharing more than that.

I did not need that visual before I went to bed.

The motto is short and concise, but will be used I'm sure with several other phrases in conjunction this season.

This morning I noticed in the pro shop that they have two new Hatch Show Print posters out for this season and one of them had both the "It Stays With You" motto and the "All In" motto, but it said..."All In To Win".

Will be interesting to watch how it is used this season, but I'm pretty sure the "It Stays With You" motto will also be used in the marketing of the team.

I have some ideas

[picture of our 4th line]
All In...The Penalty Box

[ Poile, "we are looking for Erat Legwand and our young guys to score alot of goals"]
All In...Denial

[Arnott, Dumont]
All In...The Golf cart early

[Men on college night]
All In...line at the bathroom

If our season turns south, that's our new avatar line.

Heard Trotz talk about "All In" this morning. He said it is the team motto, however was not designed for marketing purposes.

Trotz talked about the toughest thing to teach is consistency, getting players to play their best every shift, every game, all season long. Talked about missing the playoffs by just a few points last season and pointed to the points left on the table during the first half of the season (4th best record in the league from the All-Star break).

Said that the team has to be "All In" from the start of the year and maintain that effort throughout the year to get back into the playoffs. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just a lot of hard work and teamwork needed throughout the year to avoid the long summer again.
