similar so far to many other preseason games.

outworked on the boards, sloppy D, too many penalties.

ritola almost scored a minute ago, after a good rush by williams.

kronwall in the box. maltby should be in the box for delay of game, but they missed the call.

nice shot by Stuart, but Toskala should've had that

TML were starting to dominate play, and stuart and kronwall were making bad plays, but then toskala allowed a bad goal off a stuart slapshot. 1-0 after 1.

So far I liked Ritola's play, could've sworn he was Zetterberg, until I saw that 2.

filppula's line seems much more dangerous with leino and williams.

Why weren't the Wings part of the sweepstakes for the Swedish goalie?

so far, not even close to normal DRW play. bad passing, poor D, little offensive pressure. not surprising, since it is mostly AHLers.

best shift of the game for DRW. leino cycling very well with eaves and filppula. kronwall and stuart controlling play well from the back.

but then eaves took a goalie interference penalty.

i wonder how many goals TML would have scored if draper had played.

stalberg scored again.

Because they already have a great veteran goalie and a goalie for the future.

Ok, I can't type that with a straight face. But in all honesty, I never thought they were part of the Monster sweepstakes out of lack of interest. As far as I know, Gusto wanted to go to a team where he would play a big role, but not THE role, so Detroit certainly would have been a good fit. Then theres the Swedish factor...

Yeah, he could have competed with Howard for the backup job, and had he won, he'd have gotten into 30 to 40 games.

What's so crazy about that?

It's not like we gave a timeline for it or anything... and "We want a cup (at least one before we die, plz)" is too long too chant.

the leafs finally got what it takes to win: swedes.

friday: swedish goalie in, no wings goal. finnish goalie in, wings start scoring

saturday: finnish goalie in, wings score, swedish goalie in, wings no longer score.

i don't believe in coincidence!

I think Kindl showed he is not ready to play with the big boys yet.

Filppula looked like a leader last night but I think he needs little bit more of a mean streak.. or will to win .. or whatever.

Howard looked so scared last night. He wasn't the reason we lost tho.
