#1 pick offers?

Just a question now that my fav team has gotten the first pick.....does whatever teams fans who get the 1st pick have to endure constant proposals (most of which are ridiculous) until draft day every year?

No. They can choose not to read them.

Aren't u a clever one.

Actually it's kinda hard because when I see something related to the Caps, them being my favorite team, I tend to check it out.

Maybe you should relax....I wasn't blasting anyone I was just asking a serious question.

Well, everyone on this board tends to make a million trade offers about anything and everything. So go with your gut instinct on this one.

Why would Washington want a 30 year old defenseman?

because it's Ohlund?

One of, if not the most underrated players in the league.

And how old will he be when Semin, Ovechkin, and Fehr develop into great young players?

It will be a cold day in hell before you see a contender trade a #1 defenseman in his prime, not to mention their two best prospects for a guy who hasn't proved squat in the NHL yet.

Giving up way to much IMO.

Hemsky, and Semenov will both become All-Star players, not to mention a 16th Overall, and 23rd Overall pick too. Wait till Ovechkins first year, see how well he does then.

The rangers could proly offer a nice package of picks,

NYR 1st and 2nd, TOR 1st, Florida 2nd all 04. Then a player like lundmark or Tom Poti

Now that's pretty funny

As for the offer, personally I wouldn't do any deal unless it was a Zherdev + 1st, and prob more caliber offer.

Nope. A bunch of potentilally second line guys and a 3rd-4th d-man...sorry, but theres gotta be someone in a potentially great talent in there somewhere.

- Colaiacovo has the potential to be a top 10 NHL defenseman.
- Alexander Steen has the potential to be a #1 centre.
- Matthew Stajan has 2nd line potential.
- Nikolai Antropov still has that potential, but he's a #2 player... at the age of 24.
