Blacked out in NJ

I am new here guys can anyone answer this?:

Can't get games on Center Ice Package/streamed from NHL.com to my laptop.
Just outside of the Comcast Philly coverage locked here in NY/NJ hockey hot bed with Comcast Somerset, but am blacked out any way I try(legally) to watch the games. Any idea why Clinton, NJ (Hunterdon County) would be blacked out of every option available. Hell I want to pay SOMEONE to watch My Flyers, and can't even do that in these hard economic times!!

Thanks for your time.

Flyers games on Center Ice are blacked out for you? That's strange, I think I'm geographically about the same distance from Philly as you are, (Oceanport, NJ) and I get them with no problems.

Blacked out at State College too. It sucks. Supposedly the NHL has set regions for NHL teams and if you're not in it, you get blacked out.

Welcome !!

While I have no knowledge of your situation, You definitly should be making some
phone calls to straighten that out. The economy sucks as it is, and you deserve to
relax and enjoy the games.

Good luck !!

I'm not a huge fan of how the whole center ice "zone" thing works. Luckily I'm in Boston so I can watch the Flyers games but I can't watch Buffalo games, Maple Leafs games, or (obviously) bruins games... Hopefully it's something they can work on in the future but for now it just kind of sucks. Good luck dude, but know that a lot of us feel your pain!

Two words friends, Hockey Streams.

It's the cheapest and most reliable online service there is, and no blackouts.

I would expect that the CI online feed is of significantly better quality.

HockeyStreams have a Premium HD option that is actually excellent quality. $99 for every single game plus the play-offs, fairly impressive. $75 if you sign up early.

Do you use it?

Does anyone know how the archived games work?

I bought the HQ games package. No problem at all and great quality. I got the special deal though which was right before Sept 1st, $30 for 6 months of games. I personally dont think you need the HD. HQ is perfectly fine, for me anyway.

It isn't.

Hockey Streams is fantastic, costs half as much for the same quality and honestly, a much better, simpler, faster interface than Center Ice Online.

I renew every 90 days though in case they get shut down, that way I won't lose too much if it happens.

Thanks guys!! Good to be here on a board that knows the game and the Flyers.
I have called the NHL, Comcast and the Flyers front office (more than once) and they really don't make much sense; each blaming the other for the problem. I do get Comcast Network (CN8) that will carry some of the games on delay and do get to see all of the Rangers/Devils/Islander games so I am not completely without games. I just need to see all 82+!!!
Looks like Hockeystreams will get my money. I am so tired of trying to pay the NHL that I will resort to other ways.
Thanks again guys.
