My coworker/STH partner just posted this as his FB status...

"the true sign of a fan is one who holds that baby in one extra day so as not to miss the home opener."

I nearly spewed my diet coke everywhere.

Mine works but I use my middle name because Faas is ridiculous. My sisters have a different last name that's pretty common so I they got off easy.

Your real first name is 'Faas'?... I'm not familiar with that name.

... It is not a bad thing to have an unusual name... Orest Kindrachuk did well with one.

I was going to suggest Aurora as a pretty girls name but then I realized that's a pornstar's first name. Its still pretty though the info I just provided kind of taints it.

Oh funny story about baby naming though. My mom is a teacher of education and one of her students (or at least I think it was a student- it might have been a guest speaker) who was from another country (Ethiopia I think) named her daughter something that was pronounced Femalee. My Mom asked where the name came from and the woman said that in the hospital, the crib she was in said her name.... it said female.

Also another funny naming story. Before I was born my mom was planning on naming me M... (my middle name), but one day while in a store with my mom my sister, who was 4 at the time, said "Isn't this boring Adam?" My mom said, who's Adam, and my sister said "the baby", and said that I had told her my name in a dream. My sister kept insisting my name was Adam, and when my mom went into labor very early (I was born 2 months premature) though she was in the hospital for three weeks before I was actually born, so during that time my mom didn't get to see my sister a lot so she decided to name me Adam.... Hope that wasn't too self indulgent there.

Faas Evan Alexander Claudios Vandersloot. My middle names are my grandfathers'. Another idea for you Jules.

It's Dutch, if you couldn't tell.

I believe that one lady named her child placenta, thinking it such a pretty name.

You must have been loved by all people through your life that made full name tags for things you attended -- forget about tagging lockers.

... I don't even have one middle name. I have a boring family... And I posted earlier about so many of the women in the family being named Mary. haha

Serious question, UYA... what is the 'multi' button.

(I know I'm going to regret asking that)

I usually respond to a post I want to, as I read it... I don't plan ahead. I'll consider it though once I figure out where it is.

But, if I do do that, that clown who complained about me posting too much will lose some ammo. LOL

EDIT: Never mind... I found it, next to the 'quote' button.

I have friends who named their girl Annika.
I am really not into coming up with names for babies since I dont have kids myself but I thought I would throw that out there anyway.

Speaking of the multi button, I tried using it for the first time, and it went haywire, quoting everything. And now it won't go off.

Anyway, speaking of vintage names, my sister went with Evelyn for my niece. It fits her like shoe!
