The main problem is that Julien still doesn't know what his lines should be. The fact that we don't have our 4 lines playing together for a long time, don't expect players to know their teamates pattern on the ice. They're searching for each other all night long. That could be Julien's worst mistake, not having 4 steady lines for the last 10 to 15 games in the regular season.

The fact that we're losing is definately not the problem, we just don't see no real emotion and that's scary.

But Go Habs.....

Fan - I don't know what game you guys are watching, but the Habs have dominated the Bruins in every aspect except on the score board thanks to a very ,very luckey Raycroft.

fan - what are you smoking??? The B's are dominating the Habs tonight. And Razor has been playing like that all season - he's not a shutout goalie but he knows how to win games and make the big saves.

As a Hab fan, PLEASE don't give the B's fans more ammunition.

I really wonder about this "Fan" character. Wasn't he the one saying the bruins would win in 4 ?

Now he says we outplayed the bruins ? I don't want to see what will happen when we suck....

I refuse to blame Theo for any of those goals. He played well. Raycroft didn't have to make any great saves and was hardly pressured, but his confidence is going to get even better as a result of this game.

The difference between game 1 this year and 2 years ago is that last time both teams were banging, this year the Habs don't seem willing to mix it up.

We need Gino

Would you put kovalev out of the line-up, and bring back the old lines before we got him????

Btw, habs are not able to shoot from the front of the crease of the Bruins. That's y they don't score...Raycroft protects well his angles (and habs shoot mostly from there :/ )

And who are Koivu regular wingers? Z and Perreault, Z and Bulis.

Preferring Perreault or Bulis for Kovalev is pretty strange...

Did Bob throw Claude a bone by getting Kovalev? Before him, the lines were pretty much set, and were rolling. Kovalev came and everything came down like a castle of cards. Matthias' revealing tid bits are scary.

I concur. I was so excited, now I feel so let down. I can't beleive Raycroft will likely get the SO. I hope everyone gets there act together. I really want Kovalev to get the monkey off his back.

Well, now that the game is over, my optimism for the day is completely drained. But it will be back for game 2. I just have one question: What they hell was that I just watched? Good for Theo, he played well, but the first period absolutely destroyed us.

See you guys for game 2 on Friday.

And btw - no-one handed Razor the Calder, in fact he had enough class to suggest that it was Ryder's to lose.

In any case, I'm sure he would much prefer the playoff MVP... ;-)

Raycroft should get the trophy anyways. Much tougher position, and he did marvelously well. He impresses me with his calm and sound positioning. Reminds me of someone we had once...

The Bruins a much better team, and that's why I predicted a 5-game win for them.

Face it. The Habs are not ready yet. Imagine, our whole 2nd line is made up of promising, yet inexperienced kids. They'll gain a lot from this. The best is yet to come.

I blame Julien for this one.

There is no way on hell Bulis should be on line one over Kovalev. Julien says, "You don't break up a hot line," yet he goes with a 3-man unit that has scored 1 goal combined in 8 games. Meanwhile, our top scorers this year aren't getting nearly as much ice time as they should.

Stick to the system, Julien: two offensive lines, two defensive lines. Kovalev-Dowd-Perreault is a terrible mishmash of a line. Ugh.

I only watch the last 10 minutes, and I will watch it tomorrow morning anyway. That's not the end of the world, but our guys NEED to step up next game, or we're done.

See you friday, Broons.
