Yeah, I didnt mean for that to come off as a "world hates the Flames" post, even if the world does hate the Flames.

They need to let the teams play. Cloutier is an idiot for jumping on the Flame player, but how did that affect anything? I thought the officials were supposed to "let the teams play", not become even more baffling?

I thought that was pretty borderline. Sanderson was pushed in by the flames defender, but he put out his arms a little. Saying that he "ran" Kiprusoff is embellishing a little bit, I must say.

Man I hate the incompetence of NHL referees most days. Cant argue with any of the other calls that were made, even if some both ways were weak.

I wonder if allowing a Canucks player to spear Simon in the face with no call was "good game management"?

Either way, the Canucks got the chances, and buried them. They definitely took advantage of a jittery Flames team.
The spear was at Simon's ear not face. It was accidental but should have been called.

That one rush by Iginla around the canucks dman was awesome...but no one else on the Flames was dangerous. The Flames need someone else to step up.

It seems that the Sedins haven't been out there much and they have been invisible when they are. The Flames d are neutralizing them so far, but I have no doubt they will be heard from before the end of the series.

Evenly weak is the best way to call the reffing. Calgary hasn't really shown me much this game, some good plays, but not to many scoring chances. Oh well I am happy.

We are on pace for a 6-0 blowout!!!

I'll agree, Iginla has looked very dangerous out there, but not many other flames have really stood out to me on offense.

He ran Kiprusoff as much as Simon slashed whoever. I do agree the officiating has been bad both ways, even if my original post didtn seem like it.

Oh god... ANOTHER phantom obstruction call, against Calgary.

Where are the obstruction calls against Vancouver?

WHY are there obstruction calls at all?

Shut up Millen you Canuck loving homo.

That was a slash, and it should have been called as much as the phantom obstruction penalty - it shouldnt have.

I must say that's the weirdest thing I've read on these boards.

Anyway, phantom call to saprykin, Canucks don't score. Phantom call to the Canucks to even it up, and Flames do score. Then they add another on a "too many men" call.

So now that the score is tied, do you think the refs will go away?

Maybe Millen doesnt love the Canucks so much as he hates the Flames, either way, I agree with the earlier poster. He deserves a bullet to the head.

Looks like the referees have decided to go away, just when they could be calling REAL penalties against both teams. Typically, the officials arent even consistant within one game, letalone from game to game.

Millen is an Oiler fan. So I guess he very well might hate the Flames

The reffing has been terrible this game.

Blown calls both ways. Terrible calls both ways. Just brutal.

On that note, Greg Millen is Terrible. I can't listen to him. Thank god for Cuthbert

Canucks regain the lead on yet another powerplay goal on yet another ******** penalty call.

And then they even that up by calling a weak call against Vancouver.

Mizral Edit: Take it easy man. I know you're emotionally charged, but don't break the rules of the website in the process.

I'd like to see Van come and defend the referees after this.

So many weak calls made, yet the officials then decide to ignore Cloutier getting run, and Kobasew getting run into the boards from behind.

What an amazing joke these referees are. How on earth did they qualify to officiate playoff games?

It was a valid call, you just don't expect to see those kinds of calls in the playoffs. We've seen em all game.

If a global mod other than the most biassed Canucks fan in the history of the internet asks me to keep it cool, I will.

Somehow, I am not surprised that you would be the one whining about me.

Try adding something constructive for once, Mizral.

Canucks fans aren't the refs, my man. The refs have been TERRIBLE this game for both sides. ZERO flow.

Whichever teams beat the other is irrellivent, it's the refs that stole the show tonight. What a shame.
