Leafs Keep Bozak Around

LINK

Quote:
HUNTSVILLE -- Viktor Stalberg made the grade to stay with the Mapler Leafs for opening night and he may have one of his college pals for company.

Stalberg's impressive play and team-leading six goals made it too difficult for management to send him to the minors.

And now it appears there's a strong chance another rookie with an NCAA background, Tyler Bozak, will stick with the lineup.

Awesome. How he played in pre-season? I've seen highlights and he certainly look at his place in the NHL.

I've acquired him in a fantasy league that's why I'm happy

He played great on the 'college' line. Let's see how he does in the regular season. No one is expecting the kid to put up 90 points but if he plays a solid 2 way game, that's more than we can ask for.

I don't think Bozak has anything to do with Frogren as he's already been assigned/waived to the minors

This is aaight. A well deserved opportunity in life. Bozo might score-a-lot and play some cool, fast defense. He skates well.

Okay... so... are we going with one or two extra forwards?

Blake-Stajan-Hagman
Ponikarovsky-Grabovski-Kulemin
Stalberg-Bozak-Mitchell
Wallin-Primeau-Orr
Stempniak, Rosehill, Mayers

It still doesn't add up right.

Kaberle-Komisarek
Beauchemin-Schenn
Exelby-White
???? (If Van Ryn and Finger are injured)... Gunnarsson needs to get bigger physically.

Toskala
Gustavsson

You are correct. Things are not adding up here. And this is still without Kulemin... Im sure he would have made the team. I haven't heard the contrary.

Maybe Stempniak, Poni or Stajan has been dealt? Maybe someone has been waived..... Stempniak?

One of these Blakes is Kulemin in disguise.

so anyways mayers, hollweg, frogren, stempniak, grabo, and schenn were fletcher aquisitions. i think its very conceivable that 5/6 of those will be gone by the end of the year.. considering the draftpicks lost for these players i dont think fletchers second stint with the leafs was very positive

althought the trade for schenn might make it completely worth it

Hollweg is already gone...Frogren will be with the Marlies unless another team puts in a waiver claim (not very likely).

4 players to a line makes it work much better

WOOT GREAT TO HEAR ! Obviously it is not 100% set in stone but I sure prey he sticks! He brings a different dimension to Leafs hockey with his playmaking and defensive capabilities
