I got into hockey in general late in my life. I remember collecting cards as a young kid but it was more for the joy of the cards rather the sport itself. I got sucked into hockey during the 2000 playoffs where Lindros's career basically ended due to that Stevens hit across the middle. I was upset that the Flyers chocked in that series. Since then I was hooked on hockey and the Flyers. I used to go to games by myself and just make friends with other loud and obnoxious fans in the upper level. None of my friends liked hockey but that didn't stop me from going.

When I think of Flyers hockey I think of...

On a side note, one of my favorite hockey highlight videos on youtube was this one of Bobby Orr due to the music. I think it gave the video kind of a sense of importance...

So I asked soemone on these boards almost 2 years ago to create a video with the same song with highlights of Mike Richards. It used to be pretty easy to find because the Cannon hype was just starting. Had to dig pretty deep to find it just now. Ironically there is one comment on the video and anyone who's been around here a while and remembers where the term Cannon actually came from should get a laugh.

I've been a fan since the 1985-1986 Hershey Bears season...Ron Hextall and Darren Jensen in net. The line of Tookey, Fitzpatrick, and Ray Allison was lights out. In 1986 Hextall goes up with the Flyers and rest is history....

I got into hockey during(!) the lock-out.

Due to it NHL players could play in the world cup which happened to be in my home country that year.

Was an Eagles fan before, Forsberg signed with the Flyers, rest was easy.

So just 4 years in, I guess the vast majority of you is entitled to call me noob.
