Chris Bourque (confirmed with link)

link

this is kind of odd considering the vote of confidence he has received recently from the team.

seems to be more of a salary cap move than anything, or it could be a pre-cursor to another move. who knows?

also, McPhee said that Bourque will be with the Caps if he passes through waivers.

me too Kinda poopy that they told him he'd be playing his first game in his home town then put him on waivers to be claimed by the Islanders or Coyotes.

Could see the Rangers definitely making a claim.

If Schremp got claimed, I can see Bourque being claimed as well.

unfortunately, you're probably right.

i was looking forward to seeing what Bourque could do in the NHL with the Caps. probably won't get to see that now.

Isles could claim him and have Schremp and Bourque as the new wingers for Tavares.

I have no doubt he'd be claimed. No room for him on the Canucks, though.

How do you figure? We have a log jam at forward to begin with. Adding another makes it even worse.

Sather loves bloodlines.

Voros is a waste of a roster space.

He's a decent prospect.

Any of the 3.

If the Islanders don't grab him, I wouldn't be all that surprised if Colorado did. Heck, even Tampa might grab him and throw him in the top six.

he was gonna be put on waivers sometime, guess GMGM did it now since there is less likely of a chance that he'd get claimed then if he were to be waived when fehr of fleischmann return. But i could see someone claiming him

I agree with you on all points, but I don't see it as plausible. In an ideal world the Rangers add Bourque and cut Voros but I don't see it happening.

I think I'd take Chris Bourque over Schremp, if I were the Isles...

Maybe both?

Christmas came in August for the Islanders. We get the league's table scraps.

i read today that Forsberg now has a stress fracture in his foot. he can't walk well, but apparently it's ok when he skates.

don't get your hopes up about Foppa to DC....too many things need to happen for it to come true.

Probably a shorter list of teams that won't make a claim
