Unfortunately, Cliche was boarded last night during the 2nd period, looked like shoulder or arm. The team doctor left his seat to head to the locker room before Cliche left the ice. Cliche did not return to the game.

Eight wins in a row, nice way to head into the playoffs next week.

That sucks, he was having a solid season, but Manchester is stacked, I'm sure someone can fill in

Crap, that isn't good to hear. Hasn't Cliche had shoulder problems in the past?

Wasn't it Cliche who got slammed by Gauthier in training camp? I'm not sure but I think it was his shoulder then too.

So, now that the Monarchs are healthy again they go on an 8 game winning streak. Maybe this team isn't so bad after all.

Zatkoff and Cliche (keeping fingers crossed) I think, are the only injured players - but if the call comes from LA for Bernier, we are totally screwed.

Last night, I think there were 5 or 6 players in the suite, but the difference between last night and a few weeks ago was that previously, the players were all hurt.

The only way Bernier gets called up to LA is if Quick gets hurt.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Quick gets his game back - training camp should be great! We'd like to keep Bernier in Manchester for now as we all know that he's headed west for next season.

All settled in to watch the Kings this afternoon, 15 minutes to go.

GO KINGS GO!!!!

Berube for the most part looks ok, he's played 2 AHL games and is 2-0, Zatkoff is listed week-to-week, but I've heard that he's out for weeks.

Poor Zatkoff. Guy doesn't get that much love but I think he is decent/good goalie. Goes to show just how hard it is to play that position. Not because it is hard but because you can't get the minutes to develop!

Maybe. Depends on how much the organization likes Jones...

I think they're pretty high on Zatkoff still. They usually mention him as a good prospect. Maybe Jones will do what Zatkoff did and spend some time as a starter in Ontario?

final was 7-3. they looked like crap against the worst team in the division. hope this isn't a sign of things to come vs. portland in the playoffs.

Wasn't this their 3rd game in 3 nights? If so... I wouldn't try analyzing too much into this one.

Went to the game and the team really was just going through the motions. I suppose in a way that's best. There was nothing to be played for in any way. I did however get to basically meet the whole team before the game so that was really cool! Talk to Bernier and few other guys!

Did you give Bernier a ticket to Vancouver?

every team in this league plays 3 in 3 for most of the season.

the playoff schedule has them playing friday & saturday in portland, & monday & tuesday in manchester. 4 in 5 - worse, yes?

i'm hopeful that the last 2 games were an abberation, as they'd won 8 straight before these last 2 losses to put themselves into a decent playoff position. people i talked to who were at the final two games said they appeared to be on cruise control, trying to not get people hurt.

Seems to be a recurring problem for Cliche. Missed most of the 2008-09 regular season, most of the 2007 Memorial Cup, and most of the 2004-05 regular season due to shoulder problems.

I am pulling hard for the Monarchs to go deep in the playoffs. Bernier is going to have to stand on his head, this is just the test he needs. Can't wait.
