Hickey for SK?

As to quote Arnie in Conan the Destroyer, "Lot on your knife".

I'm sorry, but there just isn't enough Koolaid in the world to trick Kings fans into believing Hickey for SKost is "fair".

Hawks need a good alternative in net and reuniting Kane and Sharp could be interesting.
how are you gonna reunite Kane & Sharp if Sharp is traded to Montreal? ...i'm telling you, habs fans are delusional lol

To be honest Im not that big on SK as a hockey talent ( I think his ceiling is borderline second line player, 3rd line player), or as a person with the way he has handled his situation. Having said that with Markov's injury this does open up an opportunity for two clubs to make a move.

To Tampa Bay:
Sergei Kostitsyn

To Montreal:
Lukas Kraijcek

Gives TB another option that MIGHT be able to click on the wing with Lecavalier and Tanguay, adds a little depth to the bottom lines if not. SK seems to have a bit of an attitude problem as a negative.

Gives Montreal a puck moving defensemen that can skate well and run the PP at a decent cap hit of 1.5M. As a negative here he is pretty soft.

Thoughts?

To MTL:
Colby Armstrong
Angelo Esposito

To ATL:
Andrei Kostitsyn
Sergei Kostitsyn

Add picks to even out value.

Atlanta gets the best player in the deal in A Kost.

Montreal gets bigger in there top 6.

Sweet deal!!

Maybe they could add Marty Reasoner to that package and go after Crosby instead??

I would make that deal from Montreal's end.

For what it's worth, I have mused that SKostitsyn could turn out better than his brother. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of AKostitsyn. But I really do think that SKostitsyn has the potential to be a good top 6 player.

Habs-Hawks

Sergei Kostitsyn
3rd round 2010

for

Troy Brouwer

Pick seems useless, but maybe Chicago doesn't want to take a chance on a player like Sergie without getting a little something else in return.

Habs could use a guy like Brouwer, especially for his size.

No thanks

I am not the biggest Brouwer fan but I worry Sergei Kostitsyn wont ever get it together. And he wouldn't make the Blackhawks roster this year. He would have to go to Rockford and with our system having Skille, Aliu, Beach and Makarov it is questionable if he would be able to beat them out. Add the KHL factor and this just doesn't work
