I will peek in during the game so if you have any questions about Färjestad. Just ask.

Also, if you go to http://stats.swehockey.se

This is the dullest period I've ever seen, I think.
Both teams looks completely uninterested

Not at all, I'd say it's more of a distraction than a fun experience for the FBK and LHC players...

I actually think Färjestad does a pretty good period.
They start very well but aren't hungry enough when the chance come.
Pihlström should have had two goals by now, Björklund one and Johansson one.

Detroit leads thanx due to their powerplay and the incredible pucktempo in it.
Lots of misstakes though in ES.

Agreed. Wings look a bit sloppy, skating over pucks at times, the passes aren't as crisp.

I think Farjestad will succumb to what most teams have happen to them. They try to match Detroit's puck possession tempo, and/or play a very fast game. They looked much better in the first half of the period, then took some penalties (Wings pressure?). They looked much slower by the end of the period.

Overall though, I'm impressed. Their skill looks better than certain NHL teams who shall not be named here.

I love no commentary, I just wish the crowd was more into it...Im kinda feeling letdown right now, Euro crowds are usually out of frickin control.

What should be mentioned is that in two years, Färjestad has had 23 players leaving the team and some of them have been players that played over 3000 games together for the club.

We have played 4 games so far in the SEL and about 6 games in the preseason and I think it's looking pretty good when you think about that it's 12 new players just this year.

It should also be said that Andro Michel, the goalie today is not our regular goalie, he's a Färjestad prospect that's on loan to a Swedish second tyre club and really arent used to this tempo.

The first goal is typical of the difference between Swedish hockey and northamerican.
A Swedish player in Williams place would have skated towards the goal and tried to dangle to put the puck in goal by a backhand.. A northamerican player shoots.
