I hope the players who were here last year remember the late hit on Markov by Grabovski, that pretty much ended the season for the whole team and us the fans. I pray somoene knocks his teeth in tonight!

Let's not rush Hamrlik. O'Byrne have been very good in the off-season and it's fair words.

I'd like to see Weber play though, just because Mara, Gorges,... aren't good at ALL on the PP.

Puck drops at 7:08, you might catch the end of the 3rd depending how far your work is to your home.

I, on the other hand, think there is a good chance that they come out in game 1 under Burke, at home, with a charge and pull out the win over the Habs using their physical play, and ekeing out a few opportunistic goals, including from V.Stalman who is flying high right now... I make it 3-2 Toronto to kick off the year (as much as that sucks)...

p.s. Habs still have a much better team and that I still expect will end-up between 5th and 7th in the conference, with toronto looking up from 10th - 12th.
It's StalBERG. As long as we keep him away from the front of the net we should be ok. From the games that I watched he seems to score a lot of goals right in front of the net or just to the side of the net, so hopefully Gill can get in there and push him around a bit. It's going to be a very interesting match up. Im going to the game so it's going to be pretty fun to watch!

we have allot to look foward to this season. A grate mix of vet talent with some new yonge blood. As a fan that is all you can ask for when cheering for a team. Sure there allot of question that comes with changes but at least the pieces were put into place for what I hope is a promissing season. We have all the ingredents to built a solid season and hopefully a long playoff run.

Looking at the leafs line up I have to make this comment but men that team looks like a beer league team or as the like to call it une equipe de league de garage.

Hockey is so pathetic, hockey fans even more. Bunch of guys fightning on a ice over a piece of rubber that they try to put in a net. Really, you have to be terribly stupid to like something like that. There's so much thing that matter more than this.....I can't wait for the season end, tired of hearing kostitsyn that, Price this, Martin said that, Laraque should do this.

P.S: OH MY GOD COULD 7 PM COME ANY SOONER I JUST CAN'T F**KIN' WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so beyond psyched for this game... Why would the NHL start us out with such a big game, it's like working out, you're supposed to start slow to avoid heart attacks... What happens if I can't make it to game 2?

For this game...I think I would of sat D'Agostini in favour of Stewart

Latendresse-Lapierre-Moen
Stewart-Metro-Laraque

Would of been my bottom 6

Leaf fans know you don't get a point on the scoresheet for fighting right? And if they are really anxious to fight, I am sure if they asked Laraque nicely he would oblige. Let them run around trying for the big hit. We will burn them. If we lose the game it isn't going to be because we are "smurfs" and were pushed around it will be from either a lack of effort or poor goaltending imo.

With that said, it would be nice to start a (hopefully) successful season off with a bang with a hatty from Gionta or Cammalleri + a shutout from Price. Would also be nice if BGL crushed one of them to take away their moral victory as well

Oh man 4 and a half hours.

After a couple of years of passively reading hfboards, it's as good a time as any to join. Can't wait to see the new team. Watching - or more likely listening - from London (England) tonight. Go habs Go!

Jesus!!!! I'm listening to MONTREAL sports radio this afternoon, (i have team990 and CKAC running on my comp, switchin back and fourth during commercials) and I do not hear anything positive nor intelligent. First you have J-C on ckac, people calling in to awnswer this question, Where will the habs finish? 99% say out of the playoffs!!! what idiots, seriously. And every time he gets a chance to bash Pacioretty and push for Lats, he takes it. This guy seriously is a loser. Anyone know if he actually played the game???

And then you have the bright one PJ Stock. Really, is he the best you can find team990?
No intelligence, no hockey smarts, and not to mention, can't complete a sentense. I guess the last one is not a nessecity when hosting your own freakin' RADIO SHOW!!!

At least le 4 a 7 is starting soon on RIS, with the best Habs analist in the world...Le Baron(sarcasim)!!!
God I hope things will change this year with the Habs coverage. Please Molsons do something about this!

I have so, so, so so so much to do at work. But I can't concentrate.

You know when you're trying to get a loan and it takes a while for the guy to call you back to let you know it's approved and all that?

This is why. There are no real delays. It takes 15 minutes max. But it's a pain in the butt and I just don't feel like it...So sorry Mr. Smith, your loan application is "still under review" until I feel like clicking the "approved" button.

Put a glove, not too big so you can hold a beer but big enough to not being hurt when you hit the 2 by 4.
