Psssshh

Markov only acts injured because he wants to better relate with us mere mortals.

God and Chuck Norris both lick Markov's feet.

Anyway, in the meantime, we have Spacek who was #1 D in Buffalo last season, so we outta manage. When the entire top 3 will be healthy, we'll be very good on defense.

Please... could we just rewind before the game and bench Markov for the whole game even if this means a lost? Please?

Looks like the same as Bieska's injury. i think he missed over 40 games.

There goes one of your best players and one of my pool players

However, with a good system, if New Jersey succeeds with Oduya and Martin as their best d-men, we can succeed with Spacek and Hamrlik. Long term, it could get harder, but short term, I think we can find a way to overcome this. Look at Pittsburgh without Gonchar last year. They struggled, but they found a way to stay decent.

Let's just hope for the best and let Markov come back as quick as possible.
They fell off the playoff picture then resurged upon his return.

this didn't look as bad as Bieksa. Bieksa had a huge gash down his calf and left a trail of blood all over the ice.

so if Markov is gone, and lets say Ham is out with swine flu again later on in the season...

Any chance to see PK?

Weber and Carle were the other two Dmen at the Retreat. I'd say they're the first ones to get called up. Weber has a bit of NHL experience.

Still... I can't see Markov being hurt for too long... I mean. Unlike Lang, he at least was standing up and it didn't seem too painful.

Then again, it's Markov, but if it was really that bad, I doubt he'd have took the time to bend over and check his foot before leaving the ice.

Not sure, I have the feeling Weber might be the one called up to replace Markov before Subban

Elliotte Friedman said that Markov had to be "lifted" to the dressing room and couldn't put any weight down on his leg.

I'd trust Sportsnet before I would many of the Montreal local media.
Come on dude... They just can't know it. At the time this article was posted, Markov still was in the ambulance heading for the hospital.

I dont like the part when Markov has to spent the night under obervation at the hospital......why would he need to be under observation??? It's a cut not a cardiac arrest

Do you not think that a doctor looked at him in the dressing room? This is the NHL. It's not beer league.

So why the hell would Sportsnet know it, but not CKAC, RDS, TSN, and any other sports media?

You said it, it's not beer league. Let's wait and see before panicking. There's nothing official as of now. The report itself looks like speculation more than anything else IMO.

Hey, let me try one:

"Metropolit might have banged a stripper on his way back to the hotel tonight."

See? I'm not stating anything as a fact.

Spacek gives us a whole new puck-moving dimension... Going to be way easier if Markov's hurt for any extended period of time.
