In that third pic he's just lost in Kipper's eyes.

Either way, I am glad he is on our side (Team Canada). Same goes for Pronger.

He is going to hurt himself if he keeps flopping around like that.

Reminds me of the story of the boy who cried wolf.

Fake it too often and when you do get smacked in the face...they ignore you.

Nothing to do with the thread.
Perhaps it was karma.

I think Burrows should be more careful with his postgame comments about the referees:

Referee Brad Meier, defending his reputation as one of the NHL's worst referees, also missed what appeared a fairly obvious high-stick to Alex Burrows, depriving the Canucks of a late power play.

"In Edmonton, he called me for diving," Burrows said. "[Tonight] he got me for hooking when I thought I got his stick. Sometimes you just have to tell them they're cute and refereed a good game and next game maybe he'll give you one."

The quote sounds biased because it's from a Vancouver paper:

http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/C...644/story.html

it's not going to help Burrows with the refs if he talks like this.

That hooking call was truly a blown call, though. It's a tough call if the ref was across the Flames player's body, but it was still incorrect. Burrows lifted the player's stick.

Burrows is so pathetic. It seriously disgusts me that any team would bother to carry him on their roster.

You're right, I suppose we'll just suffer through his 28 goals while finishing 11th in Selke Voting and signing for 4yrs, 8mil.

I doubt that there is a single team in the league that wouldn't have signed Burrows to his current contract if given the opportunity.

To antagonize Canucks' fans, obviously.

As an objective observer, I love 3-way rivalry among Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton . Somewhat pointless threads like this reflect the intensity of that rivalry.

yeah im sure that being 11th in selke voting will make you feel good when he scores a whopping 1.5 goals per series in the playoffs again this year

Burrows is a good player and his cap hit is great.
I dont understand how Canucks fans can turn a blind eye to his other antics so easily though.

would have been so fun to watch Bieksa kick his ass last night if Phaneuf wasn't such a pansy and actually dropped his gloves....so fun
