How does it feel...

...To know we're just 12 hours away from puck drop!

I've been waiting way too long for the season to start! Its finally here. And what a way to start it off against the hated habs.

I, for one, am pumped!

GO LEAFS GO

12 hours to go but I have a feeling it will be a long day leading up to game time.

Got 4 racks of ribs ready to go in the fridge, currently absorbing all the rub-goodness that has been put on them. Getting home at 4, putting them on the smoker for 3.75 hours, then 1st intermission we feast.

Also have a **** load of beer in the cooler as we speak, and wings ready to go on the BBQ as well. Yep, the annual season puck-drop fest is at my place this year. I even have a Habs fan coming over this evening so I can rub our first victory right in his French-loving face.

To paraphrase that terrible popular group: I think tonight is going to be a good night.

GO LEAFS GO!

I love all of you.

Until we lose a game. Then. I will still love you. But. Someone. Will have to be blamed.

I got wings, popcorn chicken, pizza, mozza sticks, chips, dip. I also have rickards white in cans. Only arrived in nfld yesterday. I will be sporting my Leafs Schenn alternative jersey, with my Toskala and my Sundin jerseys hung on the wall.

And I have tissue on the end tables for the habs fans to wipe their season opening tears away for when the game is over.

The day is already dragging on so long.

I always have mixed feelings this time of year.

NFL and NHL are back but golf is winding down and pool season is over.

Let down.

I expected to see more youth in the line up.

Seeing the same offensive line up with the only real change is Kulemin out and Stalberg in is disappointing. Youth for youth.

I don't see Primeau, Orr, Wallin as an upgrade only an exchange.

Toskala is the same goaltender.

Kubina out Komisarek and Beauchemin in.

Very little change overall.

I hear what you are saying, but add in Kessel, and the fact the Farm Team has an exciting young group to continue to stock the team is exciting to me. As the organization gets rebuilt, it's a good thing to have the younger players developing, instead of treading water at the NHL level. They are the 10th youngest team in the league.

Is there anyone from last years Marlies opening day roster who is in the NHL now?

See if we were awaiting the opening game of the Marlies I'd be excited.

The Leafs? No so much.

I did take swimming lessons up to an including Red Cross level, so I know the value of drown proofing exercises.

Wallin and Primeau were added to help our PK, which in retrospec will make us a better player..

Orr was added for his Fighting, which our "heavyweight" last year was Mayers, and this makes us better

Komi and Beauchemin > Kubina..
