Sergei should've kept his mouth shut and reported to the 'dogs. the way that 2nd line is playing, he would've been recalled for the trip out west

Yup. He would have been already back in the line up.

You know you're in trouble when your best forward is Laraque

Price, Plekanec, and Metropolit looking pretty good to me so far. Hopefully the rest of the team decides to show up...

I repeat it again: The defensive-zone system is crappy. You just can't let a team like the Sabres skate around as they wish.

Against Toronto, we were just as passive and static, which leads me to think Martin's the one who told them to do that.

Newsflash: You can't stay passive and wait for the opponent to take a decision. Be active. Don't let them breath, it'll lead them to make mistakes.

As soon as we're out of our zone, everything is all right. We're just getting trapped in our own zone too long.

like everyone else, that deflection by Metropolit on the pk was a real good read of the play.

I missed most of the period because of supper. Has the first period been better, worse or the same as the one against TO?

Pleks is playing really well & with intensity. Around mid-period he won a battle with Gaustad (who's like freakin 6'5) down low and put the puck up the wing to Patches who promptly allowed Buffalo to re-gain possession. We can't have a guy like Pleks battlin' like that & then Patches not doing anything. He's standing still. May not have the confidence to be in the NHL right now.

Metro playing well again, not surprising. O.B., Laraque have been strong. Price too.

Still in the game.

again...why is pacioretty not only on this team, but on the 2nd line? we have a sniper in dago who is meant for a 2nd line.

i swear patches will become like lats and never progess the rest of his career.

Four periods and change into the season and the team lacks cohesion. Defensively they are running around and offensively can't sustain pressure.

Should we be surprised with this considering the amount of changes or is it just whats to come?

Also, Montreal never seems to play well versus Buffalo especially in Buffalo. Don't really know why that is.

Has Pacioretty ever won a battle along the boards? Also is it just me or is Lats playing a little more physical with Moen on his line?

It's going to be a long season if this is how we're going to play all year.
