Thought this day would never get here !

Jackets win 4-1

Nash, Brass, Vermy, and Umby

It would be 5-1, but Filitov gets robbed of his first of the year, as the war room picks up where they left off.

It's time, gang! Christmas Day is here. Dad, younger brother & I cashed in a free night at a Doubletree to have an easy in & out after the game & we'll save the hour drives for tomorrow.

Play all 60.

Take advantage of the fact that Minnesota hasn't historically played well in our building.

edit- Chimmer's in. I smell revenge.

I was in Athens yesterday visiting my son. The excitement in town over this game was....non-existent. But, I picked up a new OU jacket for the homecoming game in 2 weeks.

Oh, yeah, Go Jackets! No good at predicting scores, but Jackets should win this one easily. Wild with new coach, new system, no Gaborik, no opening night win.

it just might then, but isnt a sell out closer to 19000 now with the whole standing room only thing?

I thought last year the Pit game was like over 19,000?

A sell out is based on totals seats available, which is 18,144.

Anything over spills into standing room only/over capacity but has no effect either way. But that's how you see teams that consistently sell over 100% capacity.

Let's Go Jackets! Unfortunately Section 201 will be a little quieter this season since CBJFan827 is off at school, but we'll do our best to make up for his absence!

not that soccer is as popular but its also the return of Sigi Schmid to Columbus against Seattle at 730. might steal some "crew/jackets" fans away. i'd be going if it wasnt the CBJ opener. hockey of course trumps everything for me

a lot of options for Columbus sports fans tonight

You betcha!! Let's go Jackets!! Carry that flag!!

What's this about you not being there? Reunion?? The ONLY reunion worth going to tonight is THIS one!! I know you'll be there in spirit.

Not too sure how to call this one. My stomach is in knots. I'm so excited I couldn't sleep. Love the Christmas link. That's what it feels like, for sure.

I think the Jackets will come out with a vengence!! A fury!! Feels like a first date, when you know what your heart wants but am also aware that it could be a dud. Guess I will dress for the best and hope it's the begining of a magical sweep me off my feet kinda year...

Posting in a soon to be epic thread. Carrying the flag from Section 61, also known as the couch.

4-2 Jackets. Pahlsson kicks off the season, with helpers from Jake, Brass and Nash.
