If you're getting good goaltending, you have a chance to win every single night. And honestly, Price is the reason we're 2-0-0 so far.

Hopefully he keeps it up, because we'll need it.
He looks solide and his technique seems better. Calm like always and this time he has a couple of walls infront

Most simply had forgot how good he was looking before his injury last year. It's looking like he's back in form with his mind in the game.

Good for us.

Price has been awesome. I really hope the team buys him a good dinner or something while they're in Calgary, since he's won them both games by himself.

Speaking of Calgary, that should be interesting. Both teams have had almost the same story so far: they're getting outplayed, but are cashing in their opportunities when they come, and their goalies have been lights-out.

And with his red pads.

It looks like he did a lot of work covering the low part of the net in the butterfly when they puck is around the net instead of going down on one knee. He takes away a lot of the open space with his new style.

standing up seems to help him stay between the pipes much better, unlike last year where he kept getting caught out of position flopping around.

Our team, even without Markov, is probably too good for our goaltender to get real Hart consideration.

Don't forget, it's a contract year for Price as well.

the only thing about his game is his rebound control.

That and we havent exactly faced offensive powerhosue teams

but he has been poised.

JM better get his game plan in before Tuesdays game in Flames...

Otherwise they'll smoke us.
Price has faced 81 shots and has stopped 77. He's gotten little defensive support. Don't downplay his success so far.

The Habs have 4 points. How many did you expect in the 2 games?

Yea, he looks way more confident. But I think taking less shots would help his confidence more. Takes pressure off his shoulders this way.

I dunno who was bashing what, but the question was never "Can Carey Price play great for TWO GAMES", we've all seen him do that on many occasions.

The questions around price are,
1) Can he be consistent through the entire season,
and
2) How will he respond when we go on a prolonged losing streak

So anyone who has problems with price, should still have them, as we haven't proven anything yet.

With that said, the kid looks great, we're all praying he keeps it up.

I think the point AngryChair was trying to make is that preseason play isn't the best indicator for performance.

Is it really true that Melanson told him not to poke-check? He poke-checked at one point during the last match if I remember correctly - it's something useful to do and it seems silly for him told not to do it. Price is helped also by the lack of clean scoring chances against him when compared with last year.

It's easy to say that when you're not on the receiving end of it all

OK I've got nothing

Price does look good though, hoping to see threads like these 10 games in though still.
