It seems that O'Byrne hasn't seen the Habs doctor, so now, it's all speculation. Nothing confirmed yet.

Remember 2 years ago when O'Byrne was called up and was playing decently then broke his hand in a fight?

Hahah that guy has worst luck.

It will be Carle IMO. Weber is more offensive but Carle is better on his own end.

From what I saw last year in Hamilton, Weber looked better then Carle in his own end imo.

I like Weber too...he has a major league shot as well.

We need more guys that can pass the puck back there so I'd pick him over anybody else.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Weber and Carle called up and roll with 7 defensemen. Give Carle/Weber tons of time on the PP and limit their ES time.

Martin seems to like to double-shift the big 3 anyway, just sit Stewart and they're fine.

its too bad that the next 2 teams the habs are facing are taylor made for o'byrne's skills (Vancouver and Calgary).

He would have been a standout.

It will surely be Weber - he has last year's playoff experience under his belt and they'll need him on the power play. Subban is fresh out of junior and not ready, and Carle, while serviceable, probably wouldn't be well served by being the 7th d-man - unless the organization wants to reward him and through him a bone.

I can see them signing someone....

Carle had a good camp, plus he's older. Wouldn't be surprised to see both him and Weber called up.

Lets sign Denis Gauthier to a league minimum contract.

He blocks shots, he hits, he is mean.
