While I'm not Carle's biggest fan, if you want to dress 7 d-men are want somebody to play on the PP TRYING to play Markov's role, it has to be Carle. He's got a vision and some passing skills that Weber doesn't have. And since Spacek is the shooter, Carle is the passer. Not saying Weber sucks at these traits, but Carle is better.

I'd rather put Spacek in Markov's spot as the passer & have Weber firing from the right point. Spacek is more comfortable on the left side anyways.

Well I'm glad Gorges and Hamrlik came to play this season, we're going to need them. Gill looked quite solid last game as well, didn't play outside his limits, and I was surprised to see how well he was able to keep the puck in the offensive zone and keep play alive. I think we can manage though. For as many shots as we are giving up, we're not giving up many good chances, and practically no second chances. As the season progresses and players become more adept to the system, it will make it that much more difficult for teams to create offense against us. Always helps to have a goaltender the quality of Price back there. I can see us as an extremely frustrating team to play against defensively, but at the same time a team with the ability to counter quickly and actually finish on our chances (something that we've been lacking in past seasons). I like the fact that our system relies a lot less on individual players (as in the past), and more so on playing as a team. I think we'll be fine for that reason.

Does no one remember how bad Carle was in preseason?

Why Weber is not playing against the marlies?

Is he injured?

Is he callup?

UPDATE:

From Francois Gagnon's blog:

O'Byrne himself told RDS reporters he would be out for 6 weeks. Habs management will evaluate his injury further tomorrow.

Metropolit should be in on Tuesday.

Bittersweet. Metro is one of our best players so far, so I'm happy.

RDS confirms that Metro should play Tuesday, if not, Chipchura will take his place, as he is ready to play.

O'Byrne injury were just speculations

Listen when you have a broken arm, do you need a ****** doctor to tell you: "Ya it's broken"? The guy knows how he feels, their ain't any doctors who's gonna change that.

4-6 weeks might be a guess, but he's still gone.

It's a knee injury apparently. How can O'byrne know how long he'll be out with a knee injury. Isn't possible that's it a deep bruise? It's not as clear cut as a break or a sprain. Right? Of course, i'm not a doctor...

It's one thing to have a bronken limb, and it's another to feel pain around the knee area.
Might be 3weeks and that's a huge difference from 6.

Well if he did not see a doctor the injury might either not be that serious or may not be able to be diagnosed yet do to swelling or what not.
So lets hope for the best.
