Absolutely horrible ending! GlenX goal was lucky and so was the brutal GW by moss. On a positive note we absolutely pounded the flames tonight. Its nice to know that we can compete with them.

I liked the way the Oilers played just need to turn it around on special teams

5v5 for probably 90 percent of the night we were in the Flames zone

Depressing...

We had this game and chances were good we were gonna win it in OT or SO because we had all the momentum

After 1 game with Tambo's hand-picked goalie, I'm not convinced. Roloson had a much better debut against the defending Cup champions while playing behind last season's worst team. Khabi has been known for these kinds of brain cramps over his entire career, though.

I swear Khabibulin single-handedly wasted a pretty good effort by the Oilers tonight.

Penner was great, Smid was great, JFJ was pretty good.

But that hurt.

I really thought O'Sullivan was going to bury that chance...then disaster right after. Unbelievable.

It happens. Bulin was a bit rusty I think. Besides the gaffe he had some problems with the rebounds all night.

I'm actually feeling pretty upbeat about this.

This is a much better team than last season despite tonight's loss.

And I'm looking forward to seeing more games.

There were alot of positives, and it was fun to watch, but that was a brutal way to end a game like that.

I'm choked. A ton of positives, but what a terrible way to end the game.

On the bench, according to nhl.com

These were the EDM players on the ice: 10, 19, 22, 35, 44, 77.

Agreed. Oilers deserved a better fate tonight for sure & they outplayed a good hockey team tonight.

Gotta have a better PK...other than that...a solid game.

Me too! What the hell Patty O - 3 feet in front of the net and he shoots wide?!?

That was more embarrassing than the Khabi gaffe imo
