Do you guys think Benoit could get the callup(Considering Weber was already called up)? I liked what I saw of him in preseason. You think we could give him a shot instead of signing Bergeron? Carle and Weber are to much alike and PK's gotta play big minutes, Belle sucks ass and don't know who else in Hamilton who could be better.

I don't see him here unless Weber gets a fair shake and truly fails.

If Henry was healthy he might be the 7th D. The Bulldogs are hurtin for bodies so it think that the Habs will go with 6 for the western road trip at least. Of course we need to stay healthy now

PK is third on the list. Weber and Carle will receive calls before.

Anyway, Not only can Spacek run a powerplay, but Mara, Hamrlik and Gorges can do pretty well. Weber and Carle can do so, but they aren't strong enough to be has effective defensively.

Several sources are telling me that the Habs are down to MA Bergeron or a trade with Tampa for a D-man...

If it's a trade with Tampa, it'll more than likely be for Lukas Krajicek who is on the block.

Yeah right away...Tampa wouldn't trade vinny a 30 year old has been of a star, for like half our team. Imagine what it would take for us to get Hedman?

Tampa's depth chart on D:

Mattias Ohlund
Andrej Meszaros
Victor Hedman*
Paul Ranger
Kurtis Foster
Matt Walker
Matt Smaby
Lukas Krajicek
David Hale

Lukas Krajicek seems to fit the bill. Around $1million, some offensive abilities, experienced.

Paul Ranger would be be nice. Foster too.

Those are Streit's stats before he got signed to the big contract last year. Yeah WAY BETTER. Sure buddy. I'm not sure why everyone's so scared of getting consistent goal production from a point man on the PP.
why don't you ask the are GMs in the league, they probably do have an answer.

Probably a move will get made today. Maybe D'Agostini for Krajicek or sign MAB

Terrible.

Krajicek is not very good. I wouldn't be happy if we gave up more than a late pick for him (or S. Kostitsyn who has no value anyway).

Okay. But D'Agostini can't crack the everyday roster and can't be sent down without waivers. If the Habs deal a player for a defenceman it'll probably be him. And you would rather trade Sergei than him? No way

Whatever, i don't care anymore, this is getting boring. I like how you subtly changed your hot girl's photo. Let's talk about her. Who is she?

I'd sooner waive Stewart or Chipchura, or send down Pacioretty. In any event, we don't have to worry about waivers until Markov comes back so there's no pressing need to unload him.

Sergei has no value whatsoever and will never play for us again, so why would you prefer to trade D'Agostini instead? If we can get anything for him, we should take it.

S.K to Tampa makes sense because TB has no RW for their second line.

Ranger would be great but I doubt TB gives him.

1) Breezer - they were talking about him as an option on Team 990 and I just don't see this happening considering he just retired. I know people have come out of retirement before but is Breezer really the only viable option? Would he want to come back after he was 'burned' and didn't get a call from us in the summer? I admit he did much better the last 2 years here compared to his last 2 years here before he went to Colorado, but there have to be better options out there.

2) Dandy - will he be willing to come here after not getting a call during the summer? I think he's actually a good choice considering he can play up front too, he's fast, and experienced.

3) Chelios - I can't believe people suggested this. He's what, 45-46 now and took a serious injury last year in the preseason that took him out for half the year. Not to mention he is slow and we already have enough slow defensemen. Now's a chance to correct or help that, why get another slow guy?

4) Weber - has a great shot, he's not slow or super speedy for that matter, and yes he needs some work on his defensive skills but I'd put my faith in him over Chelios, Breezer and maybe even Dandy.

5) Subban - everyone admits he needs some AHL time, lets not screw this kid up by bringing him up early.

6) Carle - had a good training camp, one of the last guys cut, but from what I see from him he's a physical defenseman and doesn't offer much offensive contribution.

7) Bergeron - I think we can get other defensemen for less $.
