How many matches will Vokoun start in?

My question is simple - how many matches do you think Vokoun will start in?

Considering he has capable backup in Clemmensen this year and the fact that he will play in the Vancouver Olympic games, my guess is ~50...

I'm going to guesstimate here and say 53 of the 82 games. Around 65% or so.

My guess is 57 games. However, PDB has a lot of faith in Clemmy and it wouldn't surprise me if he gave him a few more games than we expect.

I'll say 56-58 games. Maybe more.

I'd say about 50.

All depends on how good he plays. If he is inconsistent, I can see Clemmensen getting a lot of starts. I really want to believe in Vokoun, and just hope he can be more consistent this year.

Thats kind of funny. Because last year, a lot of the criticism he got had little to do with how he played and more with how the team played in front of him.

But yeah, it probably depends on the team's success with him in net. I have no problems with that, just don't agree with acting like a bad team makes Vokoun any worse.

I think his biggest issue might not be considered consistency issues, like a lot of us think it is, but more so the lack of concentration at times. He lets in a lot of "softies" and for me, that is where I get frustrated most. Combine those softies, with the time that he lets them in, and you get a lot of criticism.

If it weren't for the Olympics, I'd say about 60ish. This season though, I'd say about 50. We've got a first-rate back-up who can pick up a bigger load than Andy could, so wouldn't be surprised to see closer to 50-50, especially with the Olympics.

Haven't read through the whole thing yet, but it seems quite fitting so far.

Ok, thanks all of you guys for your opinion, one Czech betting office put up a bet on how many matches will Vokoun start in. 1.85 odds for 0-60 games and 1.85 odds for 61+...You have confirmed my assumption that the under option has a lot of value .

Yeah, absolutely . The city I live in has 300 000 inhabitants and there are exactly 20 booths that belong to the company that accepted the Vokoun bets...and there are four major companies like this one + some smaller ones...So if you want to place a bet and don't want to do it online, you can just go out, walk for a while and you're bound to find a place for this soon.
