I am not sure if this has been posted but, as in the past, this website tends to block access after a few hours. This is a key paragraph:
The Islanders are upset, the Lightning said it was just taking care of business and the director of marketing for the Marriott Waterside hotel said it was "an unfortunate misunderstanding." The Islanders apparently believe they were bumped out of the hotel across the street from the St. Pete Times Forum because the Lightning moved its players in for the playoffs.
The story that ran in a New York paper said the Islanders found out Tampa booked rooms at a nearby hotel and decided to move further away. They apparently didn't get 'booted'.
That's what the hotel manager said, he couldn't understand why it was printed that they kicked the Isles out. Tampa stayed in that hotel last year during the playoffs. Non-issue being turned into an issue by the New York Post (what a surprise).
