Good move by the team. Get the broadcast out to the most homes possible.

One game is a good start for AZTV. Now they just need to agree to show twenty nine more.

Have to show all 82 games and be on a FM radio station to be relevant in a city. The Coyotes will never succeed long term if they continue to be all over the place coverage wise. Winning will help attract media but a little effort (read: spending) on their part would go a long way.

I mean in theory couldn't they just use the feed from the other team if its Fox Sports as well? or ask for permission if its not. Or just pipe in the NHL feed with no commentary. Anything. Coyotes were exciting on the radio when Keilback was around but that was a long time ago...

I don't know about the radio part. Sports radio(talk and game coverage) in Phoenix is kind of a black hole outside of Al McCoy.

If they were on a better AM station it would be nice but I don't think FM is necessary.

The Suns do just fine with split network coverage on my45 and FSN and I think the Yotes could too, they just may need to be on a slightly higher profile network than AZTV. My45 does pretty well with syndicated TV and gets large audiences to view advertisements for Suns games. Family Guy syndicated does better than some first run episodes of brand new shows on major networks.

Some cell phones record in 3 Mega pixel.
That AZTV feed last season looked like it was 10x8.....
I watch a lot of games on my sling box. On an AZTV game over my slingbox I couldn't even see the puck.

Nah, man. Imagine one mili step above public broadcast. It's the station that plays reruns of nineties sitcoms that nobody liked even back in the nineties. Whenever the Coyotes have game on that station they have to put a ticker down bottom Warning: DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THIS BROADCAST FRASIER WILL BE DELAYED. PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR FRASIER AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS BROADCAST. The whole ****ing way through the game. As if some ****ing blue hair is really awake at nine pee ehm wondering why Frasier ain't on. This state...I swear to christ...

AZ-TV is a low power station. If you don't have cable, you are pretty much out of luck.

To the best of my knowledge, no NHL team has their broadcasts on an FM station.

If the Coyotes could get KDKB, I'm sure there are other teams. That's not my point. The main point is that 910's reception absolutely blows in major parts of the valley. It's downright annoying to try and listen to games.

I believe that many years ago the Coyotes were simulcast on KDKB and an AM station, or at least some of there games were.

I emailed AZTV's General Manager Jeff Burnton and asked him if their network planned on picking up some of the Coyotes games that aren't on FSN-A. This is what he replied:

Because of the bankruptcy, there are still many issues that need to be resolved. But we are in discussions with the Coyotes to take games when Fox Sports is not able too. Thank you for the email. Our game will be in HD for over the air and Cox Cable viewers. If you have satellite, please call your provider and ask them to carry this in HD which is what we are providing.

We appreciate your support and enjoy the Whiteout.

My translation of this: We're not signing anything until the Bankruptcy case is resolved.
