"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
Still way too many turnovers in our own zone. We seem to be having trouble breaking out of the zone. Hopefully it's just a chemistry thing that can be worked out.
Man what a fight.......... and it's always so close.
That's one of the classic working games where you have to fight for every inch....
That should favor the Kings...
If the 2nd line would have a Center............. it would be really entertaining.
I love our 1st line.. they get always something going
That was an awesome shift by Simmonds keeping the Thornton line fighting on the boards in their own zone for over half their shift. That 3rd line is doing excellent.
There's still a few too many turnovers in our own zone, but it seems like a lot of them are tipping passes and such and not straight giveaways like last game.
Scuderi is really good at that little backhand chip off the glass to get it to someone at the point or out of the zone. I was browsing the Pens' GDT on their first game and they were talking about that so I've been looking for it a bit.
Excellent periods for Williams, Greene and Scuderi...
I am starting to lose any faith in Johnson ever learning how to play in the defensive zone, and Brown's ability to ever do anything that resembles a team game. He's a consumate teammate off ice, but just doesn't do much of anything on ice to support his line.
