You mean like first and last names are french?
Like would Rod Brind'Amour count?
Or Peter Laviolette(i know he's not a player just using him as an example)

I don't think there's really much of a difference if the players are from Ontario. You can definitely grow up as a French Canadian in Ontario.

Craig Rivet. Brian Boucher. Bouillon was my pick but he's already been taken.

Claude Giroux is definitely french canadian. Hearst is like 90% french. I was born in Ontario and spent at least half of my life there, I am still technically a french quebecer though.

To be fair, a lot of french canadian were born in Ottawa, because Gatineau has crap service for maternities. I'm not sure if that applies to any of those you've listed.

I also do not think Ranger is a french canadian name.

I always found that Rivet sounded like a French name.

Patrice Cormier, Cap-Pelé, N.-B.
Cédrik Desjardins, Edmundston, N.-B. (although he moved in the province of Quebec quite young)

And it's not hockey related, but I thought I would post those artists so the quebecois won't steal our stars again...

Wilfred Lebouthillier, Tracadie-Sheila, N.-B.
Natasha St-Pierre, Bathurst/Edmundston, N.-B.
Jean-François Breau, Tracadie-Sheila
Rock Voisine, Edmundston, N.-B.

BTW, Bouillon might be born in the states, but his parents are from Quebec and he grew up in Quebec too... so he's pretty much a québécois.

If Jean-Luc Godard is French and Andrew Ranger is quebecois, I guess there's nothing wrong with Eric Godard and Paul Ranger
