Well now Canoe has gone from saying that the signing was confirmed , to them saying that he has passed his medical examination and is on the verge of signing. Take that for what's worth.

I'll believe RDS over Martin McGuire. Whomever the **** he is.
Martin McGuire is the closest guy to the habs. He follows them everywhere and speaks with the coach one one one every game day.

CBC (or radio-canada) says that it's not a done deal and that Gainey is waiting to see how Weber will play.

As for all the MAB haters, he would be the exact copy of last year Schneider, but I guess they can't see it.

Schneider was way too slow and extremely bad defensively, but he was pure gold beside Markov on the PP.

But for some reason, on HF, the equation is Quebecer = overrated = useless.

I still prefer that they give Weber a chance, but MAB would a very good option and would be perfect with Markov on the PP, when he comes back.

So far we have learned that MAB has signed with the habs, not signed with the habs, habs not being interested in MAB, then finally MAB needing a physical first and the thing being close to being done.

Also, NewHabsGeneration is not PyrettaBlaze's buddy, and PyrettaBlaze is not my guy.

Schneider makes a whole lot less of WTF decisions with the puck.

For some reason, some people just can't see that some criticism (in fact most) has nothing to do with the name and PoB.

@ HabsNewGeneration (why all the hate ?)

Take a look at those career stats : http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/player...?playerId=1764

Not too bad for a band aid. His worst season was with an AWFUL Ilsanders team... And, he's probably very excited to play here, for the team his friends and family are cheering for.

He's +5 in 72 games, loggin 16+ minutes per game, last year. Defensive liability ? Okay. You're just a troll.

Please don't turn this into a French vs English debate. I'm not in the mood to deal with idiots from both sides today.

Because he is not what we need IMO. What we need is a shut down defenseman, so we can slow the bleeding of the outlandish number of shots on net by the opposition.
Were you guys not watching our first 2 games ? How the flip is adding MAB to this mix going to improve this. 60 shots a game maybe ?

We have someone to play the PP shot with Weber. They have the same type of game except Weber can actually play D.

Especially when PP/PK doesn't count against +/- and he's apparently a PP specialist......

You don't agree with me fine, you don't have to faceplam me like I'm a pure idiot, this is so lame.

The fact is that MAB wouldn't be able to replace Markov, no one can. But, once Markov come back MAB could actually be an incridible addition to the PP with limited ice time. But, what's the matter right... I should just faceplam myself...

Oh, thank god. I read the title and thought this meant Patrice Bergeron.
