It's very rare you can break down a game as simple as this:
Their 4th line simply ate alive our 4th line and that was the difference tonight in this game. If Metropolit is healthy, I am fairly convinced we are either in OT or celebrating a win right now.
Great game guys. There's definately something to build on.
Cammy - Gomez - Gionta played great, once again.
Plekanec played his best game in a year and a half, AK46 seems to wake up slowly but surely.
Halak, Pacioretty, Stewart and Chipchura lost us that one. The vets were all right. Three of the last four will be in the AHL before December... and the other one's our backup goalie.
Nothing to worry about. Our transition game is awesome.
I feel so much more satisfied with this loss then I did after the Buffalo win. Lets hope they keep it going tomorrow night and pull out a win in Vancouver for once.
Good game though too bad we could not salvage a point however you have like how we played the whole third. I don't hink you could pin this loss on any one player. The most encouraging thing for me is we just hung with one the better Western teams, skated with them and hit with them.

D'Agostini should have played tonight instead of Stewart.
Play Stewart against a more physical team, Vancouver
Yea uhm...no more Chipchura? The 4th line got eaten alive by the Flames 4th line. Our top 3 lines outplayed their top 3 lines and Kipprusoff played better than Halak.
Hal "Headache" Gill. It will be a long year for me if this guy cannot learn how to make a pass out of the zone.
Edit: It was refreshing to see a habs team actually play a third period. I have not seen that in forever
