Well 2:14 left. Lets pull the shutout off. Our defense is unbelievable this game. I dno if it's Tippett or the lines are just clicking, but if we play like this we will beat a lot of teams. Keep it up Yotes.

The Yotes do an amazing job defensively, considering that Sauer doesn't play its all the more impressive

What a win. This is excellent hockey being played. Everyone played as a team, and really focused on playing good defense and not allowing any easy shots on net. If this is the type of hockey we will be playing then we will be making a lot of noise in the West. Great game Yotes, now lets bring this momentum into Buffalo.

Someone buy Tippet a beer tonight.

Pens had like what, 3 scoring chances all game. Sauer wasn't even playing.

Crap, wish I got home from band practice sooner, only get in around the middle of the 3rd. Still, sounds like we played a good game. I'm assuming the Penguins were not playing their best hockey?

I'd say they were playing a hell of a lot better than the kings the other night. Plus, Johnson made a miraculous stop on Doan.

what I like best about this game is that the Yotes got a shutout without Bryz having to play out of his mind, it just was a great defensive effort.
My pick for player of the game would be Yandle.

We just worked a lot harder than them. The Coyotes never stopped working, and the Penguins took lazy penalties as a result. Bryzgalov was very, very strong in net, as well.

Lepisto's overall play, especially on the PK, was a whole lot more solid than advertised. He looks like a very good defenseman, and we didn't even get to see the offense he's known for.

Fiddler and Winnik make terrific security blankets. Tippett threw them out there at the absolute perfect times. They were there exactly when we needed them out there and they did exactly what they were supposed to do. Winnik is stealing Korpikoski's job, by the way. Lauri has been solid, but Winnik has been much more than solid. He's been very, very strong. Imagine the forechecking and puck possession of that line when Pyatt comes back, if he takes Korpikoski's spot. They're going to just pin the other team down the whole shift.

Jovo plays great when he's pissed off. His emotion got the better of him with that extra push to Malkin's head. That puke Malkin had it coming, though. I still haven't forgotten about his chicken **** punch to the back of Nolan's head before skating off in the opposite direction as fast as he could like a scared little *****, content with his free shot.

Tippett's "pack mentality" is no bull ****. These guys don't even need names or numbers on their jerseys. Shane Doan is just another hard working forward, no different than Upshall, Prucha, Winnik or any other forward. Every player is pulling their weight.

The puck looked like it was made of flubber for much of that game, and we seem to have some problems with guys not keeping their sticks on the ice. A lot of sloppy bobbling out there. That's just nit picking. I can't really do much else, right now. Really the only non-positive thing I can say is that we've still got a long season for things to go wrong. The upshot is that we have a long season of Coyotes hockey to watch. If this is what we can expect, I'm going to be over the moon. I love hard working teams.

The Coyotes didn't want to stop skating and the Penguins didn't want to keep up. Stupid lazy penalties were taken as a result. That's pretty much the story of the game.

I thought the team look far more structured than usual. Hopefully this will be a trend with the new coach.

I was just coming over to see what you guys thought of Lepisto's game tonight. I thought he played really well, even though as you said he didn't show much of his offensive game. I liked him sitting Crosby behind the goal in the 3rd too.

Our Czech players have brought it these last 2 games. 3 goals for Vrbata, and Lang and Prucha each scored a goal.

If theres anything that has been more correct than this, let me know. This explains everything this team has shown the past two games.

Solid win guys. Bryzgalov worked well but the defense in front did an amazing job.

On TSN tonight there were saying that the Yotes put on a clinic , in their team play .They said Bryzgalov was ok , but never actually got tested ,and ended up being the player of the game . They mentioned how they have never seen a game played like this from start to finish this season so far. And the impressive part was that the team is following the system to a T only 2 games into the season . kind of reminded me of New Jersey

On the other hand they said Pittsburgh was thinking ahead to the Philly game ,hence dressing Brett Johnson .

Also mentioned how the media and alot of experts were figuring that because of the off season stuff the Yotes would be in disarray . Mackenzie pointed out that Yotes were in 5th at Allstar break and that this team on paperlooks better . Mackenzie thinks they will make a push for Playoffs . Murphy said its only game 2 etc..

I personally am a little worried about their passing and PP . I think Lang is just awesome . The passes he was making were awesome , he was finding the open man , who seemed to be suprised the puck actually got to him .

Also was Sauer benched , scratched or hurt?
