#17 Rod Brind'Amour C/LW
Quote:
Drafted 9th Overall in 1988.
Rod the bod was noted for having a great work ethic. He was fiercely competitive very consistent gladiator who gave it his all every night on the ice.Was a strong player down low in both ends of the ice and was equally adapt while scoring and defending the play.He had good hand eye coordination which makes him a constant threat to tip in,rebound or just block the goal keep from doing his job. Obviously he was a very steady goal scorer during his 20 oddyr nhl career. Was at one time one of the top face off men in the game.
A great two way player and a NHL iron man for many years who was very underrated for many seasons. Was a very good leader on the ice and in the dressing room.
Had a reputation of being one of the best shutdown centres in the NHL
