That's a layup. Bruce was really impressive getting the top line out against Toronto's 4th lineres. I see more of the same tonight. Hopefully with similar results.

Boar, the mountain of muscles is defintiely gonna get some love from AO tonight.

Going to try to catch tonight game, hopefully Gaborik doesn't torch them tonight. If the Caps stay out of the box they will win.

Just cause you look like the gimp doesn't mean you have to play like the gimp!

so Jurcina sits... that would be Schultz (2), Pothier, Jurcina... (plus Sloan sitting as dman, playing as forward against NYR)

I assume Erskine sits against Detroit on Saturday (but I made that assumption before the season started, lol).

Go Caps!

Erskine as our 3rd LD... a no brainer. I will be at the game. Drunk. Looking for the Sloan Brashear ice dance. I dont envy TFS tonight, the donal is going to be wreaking havoc. Sure Ovi will hit him to the crowds cheers, but I think Brashear would be wise to remind teams why heavy's came about in the first place. It can only help him and others keep their jobs. Its just the 4th game of the season, neither the caps nor the rags NEED this game, they just have to entertain us fans. It seems calling ticky tack phantom penalties is the solution to the leagues scoring woes. that will limit donal, but I still look for him to leave a mark.

Who knows though, just no injuries for the Caps.
Based on all reports so far, Erskine is in the line-up.

Most likely line up tonight:

Prospal-Dubinsky-Gaborik
Higgins-Drury-Kotalik
Grachev-Anisimov-Lisin
Voros-Boyle-Brashear

Redden-Gilroy
Staal-Girardi
Del Zotto-Rozsival

Callahan injured himself in practice today so Grachev was called up form Hartford.

They played well against the Pens, no reason to believe they can't play well against Ovie and Co.

Gilroy and De Zotto...They will be fun to watch tonight. If the Rangers are going to play aggressive offense tonight I will be interested to see how the rookies react to getting caught alone against Ovechkin or Semin.

How many did the Pens put on the Coyotes last night?

How many did the Caps put on Chara's D and Pronger's D?

Apples and oranges

in no way do I care for Nylander, but he has got to be a better option at forward than Sloan.

Those are better defenses and far more experienced than what the Rangers bring.

Apples and oranges my friend
We played them on opening night and they were playing quite well actually. Did you watch that game? I'm not comparing at all but the Pens came out to play on their banner night and tested Gilroy and MDZ. That said they're still rookies but it's worth noting they held their own in a pretty big test of a first NHL game.

It's apparently a "minor" upper body injury so there is a chance that he'll play. I doubt it though, you're more likely to see Grachev tonight.

I'm scared of what is going to happen next week. I keep thinking it can't get worse, but we now have Sloan playing at forward.
