I like the section 5 tickets. These look like nice, lower level seats. Price is fair too.
nyrmetros, when do we have to reserve these 24 seats by? Is 24 the max we can get? When do we have to pay by?
I can email out this information (as well as the bus information, do we have that yet?) and ask for definate RSVPs. I just need the OK from you that you can get these section 5 tickets
Well what we should do is ask everyone on the email list to give a proxy on what they prefer. I will discuss a few other things with you through email. Not that this isn't an open discussion, which it is.... lol

I have emailed a few times looking for input and have gotten very little response other than "I'm interested in going". Although a few people said they prefered the regular seating.
At this point, I think me and you (and whoever else is here today, haha) need to make a choice ourselves and tell people exactly what the plans are and get definate RSVPs.

So, this was the email he sent me. It sounds good, except getting the bruins hat lol.
Evan,
As per our conversation, I have included the open suite information below.
Promenade Suite Package (9th floor of the building)
40-60 person suite
$110 ticket includes
- pizza, chicken fingers, chips, popcorn, soda, water, and a Boston Bruins baseball hat
Should you want anymore info on the suite or to schedule an appointment to take a look at it, give me a call directly at 617-624-1808.
Thank you,
- Charlie Karoly
The only problem with this is I'm worried too many people have backed out.

I think a definite plan would be the best way to go, even though im not going...
Set it in stone, put the price on the O.P. with everything thats included (if anything) and let everyone choose yes or no. I love the idea of this but I can see the organizer getting screwed. I would hate to see that. I hope it all goes smoothly... but hey, theres a first time for everything.

Thats exactly what I want, things set in stone.
I want a section, a price, a means of transportation. Then you tell me a strict yes or no

Whats tough about that though is there is no guarantee that youll get all the tickets you want, or the number of people required to buy the ticket for the desired amount.
I wish there was a way to reserve a group seating plan, like that suite with the food... then you can collect the money once you have enough guys. Otherwise if you get 20 guys to go, and 5 back out, the 15 are the ones who are going to have to pony up.
I think that suite idea is the best if you can get a large group to go because it includes food, and everyone will be in one location kind of like an annual outing, instead of mulling around in the arena or filling up a 1/4 of a section where there are rows and single seats splitting people up.
And the problem with buying a group ticket is who can put up the $$ up front and hopes that everyone doesn't back out. I've been burned on buying 5 tickets, I can't imagine getting burned when buying 30 tickets. That's why I was looking at that section on stubhub. We need to re-confirm who is commited to putting some $ down and who is just interested. that will be rather helpful.

Yeah, and theres no telling what people will do on here. If you dont know them and they arent regulars theres no way of telling if theyll ****** out or not.

Hmm I dont know what to do either.
I guess we would need to collect the money upfront and then buy the seats?
I gave my e-mail address but never got any info. Me and a friend or two would most likely go.
Were still working on getting all the information together. Theres really nothing new other than were still looking into group seating and bus transportation.
Personally, I think this is the best way to go:
1) We use the MegaBus transportation to Boston, which leaves right in front of MSG.
2) Each party (or person) purchases seperate tickets from stubhub in a designated section (which we will decide on soon). This way there is no need to lay out money in advance and we can still sit very close together.
I will be in Boston that weekend with 2 other people and we are all attending the game. Last time I went to Rangers/Bruins in Boston we were stuck in the upper deck, and well... it was pretty miserable.
I didn't read through the whole thread, but what sections are some of you getting tickets in? I'd like to be by some fans in blue this time around.

1) We cannot reserve a private bus due to money restrictions, therefore we will be using the MEGABUS from NY, Penn Station to Boston. It is approx. a 4 hour and 15 minute trip, however departures and arrivals have not yet been decided. Each person, group, or party can make thier own reservation so there is no need to layout money in advance. Please do not make reservations yet, a seperate email will be sent with specific details on this.
2) We will be using Stubhub to purchase seats. Each person, group, or party can purchase thier own seats with thier own credit card in a DESIGNATED SECTION AND ROW, which will be decided at a later date. Please do not purchase tickets yet, a sperate email will be sent with specific details on this. (If you have any requests for a specific section, please post in our thread at hfboards-- we are welcoming suggestions)
3) The total cost of the trip will be approx. $140.00 per person. Food will not be provided.
4) If all goes to plan, we should all be on the same bus (or group of buses) and in the same section.
5) There is no need to respond to this message unless you have a specific question. Another email will be sent in the future regarding MegaBus and Ticket details.
I just looked at the MegaBus web site. It will be $20 round trip from NY to Boston. It lets you off at Boston Bay Back station, which is I think a train station. We can get a train from there to TD garden. I looked at stubhub and they have a group of 23 tickets in section 328 for $100 a piece and 23 in a different row for $111.
The bus leaves right outside the Garden at 7:10 AM and gets at Boston at 11:25 AM, which is perfect.
They have buses leaving Boston at 4:30 and 5:30pm which also work out well.
I think we should act fast if we are definitely going to do it. We should get the tickets soon. I'd rather sit with a bunch of ranger fans then have us scattered all over the arena.
