Oilers 5 Habs 3
I think Edmonton is too fast for our slow D.
Hope I'm wrong and I'm ready to be surprised.

Fook I have to go to a wedding tonight, I hope hey come out harder than last game.

Glad Souray isn't playing, he is a beast and would have definitely buried on the PP.

I think Cammy will get his first tonight and AK46 will score again, Go Habs!

here is what i think is the best lineup when metro is back

Cammalleri-Gomez-Gionta-nothing needed to be said here
dags-Plekanec-A.Kostitsyn -give dags a chance offensively they will score
Latendresse-Lapierre-pacioretty -let patches learn to be a power fwd
Stewart-metro-moen -tough and fast and can produce i agree bgl is better than last year but he still sucks he is ok in the offensive zone but he forces the guys to play short handed in the d zone as he is never around

I wish Montreal could pry Frolov from LA.

I would go with

AK Gomez Gionta
Frolov Plekanec Cammalleri

Send a 1st Sergei and Halak for Frolov???? Enough or does Montreal need to add more.

Looking at the Game thread....

Is Gill really playing in the top four again tonight???

I like Gill but as a 5 / 6 guy and on PK for his size reach and shot blocking

I'd rather see Mara with Gorges

Please, PLEASE Habs win this game!! While I know it would cap off a SUCCESSFUL (in my opinion) season-opening 5-game road trip, and the 2 points would be great, my main reason for praying for a Habs win is to end all the assinine, ridiculous threads that are being created here on a far-too-regular basis.

Bob Gainey sucks.
George Laraque sucks.
Tomas Plekanec sucks.
Carey Price sucks.
Max Pacioretty sucks.
Andrei Kostitsyn sucks
Team sucks because there's no one bashing faces in.
etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...

I KNOW I can ignore these threads. I KNOW no one is making me look at them. But seriously, there's only so much I can take even just KNOWING there are fans out there who can't see the forest for the trees.

PLEASE WIN. Give me a couple of days reprieve. I'd appreciate it.

Respectfully submitted,

JB11

I think you will see the habs fly out of the gate. If they can get a goal in the first 5-10 minutes of the game, it would really, really help.

Also I think the top line will try and lead this team by showing what kind of effort is needed shift in and shift out. I look for a big game by the top line tonight.

If we get the win tonight, 6 points on a 5 game road trip to start the year is not bad at all.

Hell, even with Markov I would've taken that deal. The great news is whether we win or lose, the western canada trip will be done with. In April, we won't even remember that beatdown in Vancouver unlike previous years when the trip always marked the low point of the season.

I'd love to see the second line produce...Pleky works very hard and has showed grit, but there is absolutely no creativity between AK and Plekanec...somebody needs to carry that line and his name is not Plekanec.

Oilers lineup should look something like this:

Jacques - Horcoff - Hemsky
O'Sullivan - Gagner - Stone
Penner - Brule - Comrie
Moreau - Cogliano - Stortini

Gilbert-Visnovsky
Staios-Grebeshkov
Strudwick-Smid

Bulin

Cant wait for the game tonight, I think its gonna be a close battle.

You have to do as I, and have two T.V. set up. I'll have the main T.V. on the habs game and the other T.V. on the Riders game.

GO HABS GO!!!
GO RIDERS GO!!!

I think it's time for Lats to get a decent chance on top 6. We need to generate the most offense out of that group and if we base ourselves on experience/pts, Lats has a better chance of helping our top 6 than D'Ago.
If Stortini is in the lineup, Laraque will probably be there and have someone to tango with. So BGL should be dressed, D'Ago scratched.

So something like this is what I have in mind:
Gionta-Gomez-Lats (Lats needs to create more offensively and understand that the net is the only place he should be headed for once he's in the O zone)
Cammy-Plek-A.Kost (Plek and A.Kost have played well these past 2 games. Plek since the beginning seems to be on a mission to cancel out his past season. Cammy will bring a much needed offensive help to the 2nd line and might get a better chance to score with the most productive center)
MaxPac-Laps-Moen (MaxPac will bring speed, Moen more aggressivity, hopefully Laps will stop thinking too much and become that pest again)
Stewart-Metro-Laraque (Metro is needed, he was great in his 2games. Stewart needs to focus and become less of a defensive liability)

That's one possibility, but there are others.
You can put A.Kost on 1st instead, with Gionta and Gomez. Making Lats-Plek-Cammy our 2nd (you could also switch Gomez and Plek there).
So, the possibilities are there, but I do not want to see MaxPac on our top6, he's not ready.
As for D'Ago, I think he needs a pure playmaker to work well and we only have Gomez.
