I know a win is a win, and Clouston feels you don't disturb what's working, but are people forgetting that it was the lowly Leafs and Islanders who the Sens barely beat and the Thrashers who are playing Schubert 18 minutes a game, a player who could not make it in Ottawa.

Just a reality check. The big boys come into town tonight. Let's see what happens going forward. One thing certain not to change is that there will always be change (in the lineups).

Parity. With rare exception, by the time playoffs roll around, ever point counts for spots 5-10. You can't simply dismiss a win because it's against a team that will likely be less than 10 points out of a playoff spot.

Completely disagree.

Need I remind yiu that at one point last year the Islanders were 3-0 against us?

The Penguins and Bruins barely beat those same Islanders. The Thrashers are a much improved team as well and has a pretty solid attack up front.

I'm a HUGE believer in parity in the league and that anything can happen. You might have a couple powerhouse teams, but beyond that, anything is fair game. Additionally, most teams in the league also have at least one glaring weakness on their roster that you can exploit on any night.

Donovan and Winchester and the 13th and 14th forwards IF EVERYONE IS HEALTHY, which shouldn't happen a lot. There is always at least 1 injury among the forwards. And having many options is a good way to keep the players honest and accountable for hard work. Clouston will bench the players coasting (aka Heatley). The depht we have will help us during the long season of 82 games.

If you fit under the cap, it's better to have too much depht than not enough. I wish people could seize it. Instead we read "we have too many players, too many bottom-6 players..."

And like HMAN is talking about, any team can beat any other team any given day. What makes great teams is consistency

That's a good point, this year we're winning the games we weren't winning last year.

Clouston said on the audio feed from Sens twitter, that Regin should play Thursday. Wouldn't disclose more than upper body.

Agreed. Now we just need to win the big games occasionally too like last year.

Remember under Craig Hartsburg, at one time we had defeated Washington, Philly, Pittsburgh in one month, but lost to crappy teams.

we shouldnt ever mention the name Hartsburg again.

hoping for A-Train to kill Crosby (oh wait... theyre gonna arrest me?)
and hopefully the Sharks get it going. Thats all we need to get things rolling... same for Spezza.
Goalies are making the ONE save a game that is making us win. Keep it up.

Damn, the only player (besides Neil, Schaefer, Alfie, Foligno, Shannon, Ruutu, Robitaille, McAmmond, Havlat, Vermette, etc.) who could play with Fisher gets injured!!

Well, they are winless this year and I guess the part in bold just speaks to how bad th Sens where last year (at least the first 2/3rds of the season).

3-1 we played them 4 times, it's impossible to be 3-0 with any team because there are no teams we played 3 times total. (However I could be wrong, though I heard this from the announcers before the Islanders game.) 3-1 is 1 game above .500.

We were 1-3 against the Islanders but 3-1 against the Penguins, so not sure how you can read into it.

That's why I said at one point. The Isles won the first three meetings, then the Sens won the final one after we were eliminated from the post season.

When is Regin set to return? I was under the impression he has been one of the Sens better players so far this season.

Someone on here said theres a good chance he plays this Thursday, havent heard any updates from that then. And yes, he has been really solid, one of our better forwards/best forward for sure.

I read that he's questionable for Thursday. So he should return Thursday or Saturday.

The Sun says he practiced today and should be available Thursday, but no mention of whether or not he'll play. Winchester is also close to returning.

I learned today that "Regen" in German means "rain"... Maybe Regin's nickname should be like Rainstorm or something... Thor? haha
