I'm happy for Taylor because he was good in the preseason and has been very productive offensively in Springfield. However I must say that Peckham would be my choice, he fits in with the rough and tumble style that we've been playing so far this season.

He has played 2 games but he missed all of TC because of the injury so why call him up.

He's actually back. He's played 2 games and has 10 PIM....hopefully they aren't minors.
Peckham probably still getting his timing back since he didn't have a preseason. Chorney is on fire with 5 points in 4 games. He's the better choice right now.

You reward the player when he is doing good. I think Chorney could use a confidence boost in order to take the next step. I agree that Peckham, most likely fills the short term need for the club to a greater degree, but this could be a career altering moment for Chorney, who always teases with his speed and skill, but doesn't deserve a true shot yet. I hope he turns heads, and the coaching staff gives him the proper direction.
Id prefer Peckham get the call up but I doubt hes ready for it right now. Chorney isnt very good defensively, and hes not going to get the minutes to really produce up here.

He's a better option than Staios on the powerplay. He'll probably play soft minutes 5 on 5.
I would also start auditioning him in case we move one of our offensive guys in a trade for a forward. If Chorney came in and played well it would give us the luxury of trading one of vish, grebs or gilbert.
He probably will spend most of the time in the PB, drawing in for a game or two.
Strudwick will play on the bottom pairing. Staios likely keeps playing big minutes ES and on the PK..
I hope Souray is back soon. But best of luck to Taylor. He's a much better PP option then Staios. Too bad Peckham isn't ready, we could really use a guy like him right now.
However, I'd be very wary of putting Chorney with Staios. That pairing has the potential to bleed goals. I might try something like

The problem is if Chorney is as unreliable defensively as some posters make him out to be, with Souray out, there is no single d-man on this team, who could cover for him. Staios might be the worst option, however. Gilbert, because of his sound positional play, might be the better alternative.

Good call, then we could be having Staios audition for a job elsewhere and we replace him with Peckham
Visnovski is the expendable one if Sheldon is ok. Gilbert isn't great defensively either but he's fair cheaper. Peckham plays a nice, tough game for cheap and Souray/Chorney could each anchor 1 of the points on the powerplay.
I liked Chorney's pre-season but I would prefer to see Struddy & Staios going in every game while Souray is out.
Instead of pulling a bunch of strings to get Chorney up here...couldn't we just try a forward on the point of the #2 PP unit?
Strudwick has been both good and terrible. Goon on the cycle and terrible on the rush. I'm not too keen on him playing on a regular basis. Time to see just how much Chorney has improved over the summer.

Visnovsky is as expendable as Hemsky. No Chorney or Peckham is going to replace him without hurting our team. THere are plenty of other expendable players on the team.

Well, I believe he is -4 after 4 games tied with O'Marra for worst on the team in this young season. I have no idea what kind of competition he has been facing or who he is playing with.
I would think because this coaching staff hasn't seen Peckham play yet and until they do I think they will be very reluctant to put him in the lineup.
That said getting called up is a big deal financially for any AHL player as their salary generally increases by about 10 times for the duration of their time with the big team. A three day call up is like an extra month's pay for these guys so I have no doubt that the team likes to give that money to guys for whom they have future plans.
