Isn't that "curling" (Canada's true national past-time)???

Reach your own conclusion on the key personnel decision of this past off-season.

ahh, the good ol' days of meeting the Avs in the SCFs seems like an eternity away... even last season's tie-breaker/near playoff miss seems so long ago... *sigh*

it's been highly enjoyable watching your guys over-achieve so far this season.

please take good care of Andy, we sure didn't.
And we are eternally grateful for Monsieur Anderson, no doubt. He's been the team's best player by far.

I feel bad for the Cats. Yeah, the '96 finals do indeed seem like a distant memory. I could see this team turning it around in time, but definitely not this year. Markstrom can't make the jump soon enough.

if you push a broom around the kitchen like they use them in curling, i can guarantee that she'll never ask you to do it again

Completely off-subject (and it may have already been discussed - I've been travelin for a bit)...

..But can't we think up a better name than "Andy"

It makes our goaltender sound like a small plush stuffed animal.

Probably not without having to type a similar amount of keystrokes. I just call him "BEAST" to keep it short.

Sorry, but it makes it hard to chant his name with more or less than two syllables.

Would "God" be a better name for him? I'd say YES.

Nope, God is and will stay for Roy

If all the team stick together is because of him. I mean, he's so concenttrate, he takes 2 goals in 70 seconds, 2 goals he can't do anything against, then Colorado comes back and win the game? Come on, that's great. 25 saves for him, he's go such impressive stat.

My only concern is that he's nknow for being irregular, why wouldn't happen there as well?

Calgary scored VERY EASY first goal. It was Anderson's goal no doubt. But other than that agree!

Why would you jinx us like that? Never proclaim a sure win before the game even starts.

Well, 15's not that bad when considering Chris Mason of the Blues started 36 straight last year.

It's nice that he thinks of playoff:
Quote:
ANDERSON: It was more the opportunity. There's no way I could fill Patrick Roy's shoes. All I can do is play my best. At the end of the day if I can get this team to the playoffs I've done my job. I'll let the media do all the comparisons they want.
I just realized that our window of opportunity is only 2 years, unless Andy has contract extension after this year.
It's early, but do you think he will stay? Knowing that our team is young and may need a couple more years to grow??

If we offer him a fair raise commensurate with his performance the next two years, there's no reason he'd leave.

Just realized that Andy gave up his number 31 coming here since Boods already has that number. I wonder if he'll ever ask for it back

No way he doesn't stay if we don't lowball him big time. And I have enough faith in our new management to think that if by next year he's still playing this well, we'll probably offer him something lucrative (and probably too lucrative) to stay. I just can't see us putting ourselves in the situation where we don't have a good goalie again.

And if we don't lowball him, he definitely stays. We gave him his first ever chance to be a true starter.

I love Andy.
