Chi-MTL (Again)

To Chi
G Halak
F S.Kostitsyn
5th in 2010
To MTL
D Barker
G Crawford
4th in 2010

Montreal gets a good D man, with an added bonus of putting up nice Offence which they need at the moment, take some ice away from Gill, and Chicago gets a solid guy, to take away pressure from Huet, who from several reports, is doing bad.

Secondary players:
Chicago gets an extremely talented prospect, good chance of panning out, while Montreal gets a guy to either start in Hamilton (if he is outplayed by Sanford) or to backup Price in MTL. (We also went to the same high school and he lives a few streets away ) The picks are to even things up.

1) I do not want to take on Barker's salary.
2) Until Price proves that he came be like Ward, Fleury or Luongo, Halak DOES NOT get traded.
3) Sergei Kostitsyn is a potantial top 6 that will come back to bite us in our ass more than Grabovski did.

Now could you please look there number 7.
Then please look the games played category also.
The after that could you please check who is behind that number 7.

Then re-evaluate your trade offer.

Chicago needs the goalie.
Plus from what I hear Barker is very underused.

What the hell is in the water in Montreal?

1st Hawks dont need or want Kostitsyn. We already have our own Kostitsyn his name is Jack Skille. An AHL/NHL tweener that was supposed to be something special.

Barker is worth more then that package alone. Yet we are supposed to also give up Crawford and a 4th?

We need number 1 goalie who can take us to Stanley cup.
We dont need another goalie prospect, no matter if he would be v.good.

Barker is underused in couple of first games becouse he needs to get his defensive act together, we need someone who will help him with this. Sopel clearly cant.

Besides, we use Barker as Q sees fit and it has nothing to do with his trade value.

Halak is an experienced young NHL netminder!

He isn't a prospect. I would love to have him but not at highway robbery cost

Even so, he is not proven number 1.
We dont need another Huet situation when we allready have one.

To be fair to the op, Crawford is an AHL goalie at best, so at least he didn't have Niemi there.
